DLAA + Ray Tracing or DLSS + Path Tracing?
for those who can run both settings, which do you prefer?

Path tracing looks much better, so if you're lucky enough to be able to use it smoothly, I recommend it.

I tried it briefly on my 3070 Ti, but fps is way too low to be playable for my taste (and I swear my card screamed in pain), but it looks great, so it was like getting a taste of some forbidden fruit for me :steamsad:

Ray-tracing also looks great, though, even though I only use it on reflections and lighting.

i looked at some path tracing comparisons, seems as though it's just a light simulator. i prefer the oversaturated glow from Ray Tracing myself. from the screenshots, it seems as tho path tracing will leave some areas of a room dark because of 'realistic lighting' but with ray tracing there's still some light showing in that same dark area. overall, path leaves more darkness, but ray tracing has more of a surreal glow. i prefer the latter.

DLSS + path tracing for sure. RT only has a lot of missing shadows and PT is getting better and better...

DLAA will look better, but only if you force it to use preset F. This game, by default, uses preset D for DLAA -- which is wrong, and will look very aliased and terrible.

If you're going to use RR (Overdrive preset), then you pretty much have to use DLSS. In that case, using DLSS_Quality+DLDSR_2.25x will give you IQ close to (but not quite) DLAA.

I tried forcing DLSS to use preset F and 1.0x scaling factor with RR, but it looked like it was still using preset D -- way too aliased.

Personally, I'm running it the game with Overdrive+DLSS_Quality+DLDSR_2.,25x(67% smoothness)+FG+Vsync@60fps on my 4070 ti super and 10700k (hyperthreading disabled). Buttery smooth at 60 fps. My native resolution is 1920x1200. Ingame sharpening set to 0.75

I have to run it in borderless when both DLDSR and FG are turned on, otherwise it runs like crap for some reason. In addition to forcing vsync on in nvcp, I also have to use a 60 fps framecap, otherwise the game internally tries to run at 120 fps, which throws off the framepacing and causes microstuttering.

What are preset 'F' and 'D?' there's no toggle for that in the Cyberpunk 2077 graphics settings.

Also, what is DLDSR_2.25x? Is that something in the Nvidia control panel?

But Path tracing + DLSS quality is still superior to me than DLAA. But ONLY at 4K.

+ the fact that DLSS Quality +Path tracing can easealy get you 60 frames at 4K maxed out with the use of ray recon.
so at 1440p you suggest that DLAA is better than Path Tracing + DLSS quality?

if you get 60 frame for the two options, i would go DLAA + RT yes.
DLAA is a miracle for 1440p/1080p. What's your GPU ?
i get like 100 fps with DLAA + Ray Tracing Ultra @1440p
