When is the best time to start Phantom Liberty?
Hello, sorry and i know if this boring questions popping up again, but i dont play this game since patch 1.6 (i alr finished the game back then) but recently i play from the start again and now i am in act2 after finishing Transmission/VDB quest and got called by Somi to enter Dogtown.

This is my playthough, i still haven't finished some of my friends quests (Judy, Panam, River, and Takemura) i finished "Automatic Love" but i dont meet Takemura in "Gimme Danger" yet, but recently Panam called me to meet her quickly (i guess this is where i meet Saul quest), i also haven't finished all cyberpsychos and gigs.
So the real questions are should i finish my friends quests first and then start PL, OR should i enter PL and finish PL quests first?

Since this game doesnt have NG+ and i dont have time to restart again, this specific act2 save file will remain intact for the future replay. What I want is to play in correct order first and get a new dialogue from my friends and possible a new ending. Thank you all.:CapSta_Commando:
i also took reference from this, how about this? https://www.reddit.com/r/LowSodiumCyberpunk/comments/kx8rle/cyberpunk_2077_timesensitive_roleplaying_guide/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&sort=new

Well you should certainly do Panam's quest first, because that one's timed (Saul will die if you leave the quest hanging for days). Might aswell finish out her questline actually, since there's just a couple left.

As for when, there's technically no correct answer, because the PL content does not require that you've completed anything except the quest with the VDB's.

That said, i would certainly recommend that you don't start PL untill your character build is in a good state (IE, you've got some useful perks, cyberware, and gear), because a lot of the PL content was clearly ment for higher level characters.

I started playing this game after the DLC, and searched for similar info, and found this that I copied into a text file, and now I'm pasting it here, if it can be of use :cybereye: (note I've changed the order of the missions around a bit as I did them, and I did all of Panam's missions and some other things):

Rather than beginning Phantom Liberty when the opportunity presents itself, hold off on jumping right in and play until you unlock the Act 3 mission ‘Nocturne Op55N1, which is one of those “You can’t turn back beyond this point” missions.
That means you’ll need to complete Act 1, and the following Act 2 missions:

Search and Destroy
Play It Safe
Gimme Danger
Automatic Love
Down on the Street
Playing for Time
Tapeworm
Ghost Town

By jumping into Phantom Liberty at this time, you’ll be far enough in the main game that the new ending, which you can only unlock by beating Phantom Liberty, will actually make sense. That’s because depending on which endings you unlock in Phantom Liberty, there’s a chance the game will end right then and there for you. But by reaching Act 3, you’ll essentially replace the Act 3 missions and endings with Phantom Liberty’s creating a much more satisfying, and complete, story arc for V. Plus, characters from the main game will factor into new Phantom Liberty ending, but their appearances will make much more sense once you reach Act 3 of the main campaign.

Also note that this is mainly for doing the new ending, but I somehow didn't really register that when I did it, but I still found it useful.

I should also note that I didn't actually complete any of the endings yet (except for Phantom Liberty), but decided to start over before doing Nocturne since I regretted some things the first time, and was very unfamiliar with the game in general.

Or not start her questline at all, before going to Dogtown...

Straight after the Mamon Bridgete Mission when you get the call from songbird.

I waited until I had Nocturne Op55No1 available.

I was thinking I could go direct from PL into the base game endgame... except there are a few things that come after PL that players can miss if the game isn't given a little extra time after PL to trigger them before the point of no return.

Doom_Slayer's suggestion is what I recommend knowing what I know now.
