How to recognize bolt shots?

Maybe I am bad at the timing, but is there a way to know if I manage to pull a bolt shot?
Some kind of visual sign? At first I thought those are the blue'ish sparks, but than I also saw them on normal charged shot.

Oh yeah, you get very impactful effect, and with an upgrade there is a chain lightning on top of that. Practice a bit, you need to hold and release the trigger right before it's fully charged.

The weapon's usually have visual indicator for the bolt. Mostly it is just a rhythm you have to learn.

there's a meter on the gun that shows you when to *let go*

Blue sparkling and sound is different (higher pitch)

Maybe you also have Microgenerator Cyberware (1st bullet is elec buffed) ? Maybe that's why you think you have bolt when fully charged ? When i move camera left right, it's not bolt, it's microgenerator.

I actually didn't put the Microgenerator because I wanted to practice in pulling off the electric effect from the normal perk.
So everytime I see the blue sparks does that mean that this is a bolt shot?
