Ps4 user here. I will NEVER be able to get legendary kiroshi opticals will I?
I'm lvl 37, cred 50/maxxed and if ripperdocs all sell the same thing, I'm not seeing legendary kiroshi opticals either one. I can't even get beyond blue quality eye implants. I have two implants for eyes at this point, the one you start with, and the blue quality upgrade. I haven't been able to buy or find anything better. This is off, this ain't right. It's a bug.

Great I will load up the game next, cross reference my level and grind until I am the level to get legendary oracle optics on my ps4 version of Cyberpunk which is as up to date as the ps4 version is.

EDIT: Other posts contend that and that I should not be able to get them. So we can see how someone would have a problem knowing if they can get them if posters don't know and chat can't agree either eh? Like this is something to reckon, it's a "thing".
No, you can't.

That person is talking about 2.0 content. You're in 1.63. You don't have tiers and can't upgrade the rarity of your cyberware. Purple kiroshis' are the max for your game version.

I've been to all of them at this point, but I am not confident in that because I wasnt' keeping track. Is it a specific ripperdoc? But I'm pretty sure I've been to all of em.

with the last few updates that came to cyberpunk you were able to upgrade the cyberware including optics simply upgrade them in the ripperdoc to get them into legend status just have the required material and you can get them there along with other cyberware as well and each optic is slightly different to the others some of them provide better zoom going from 2x zoom to 6x and if you have put points in your skill tree to get the extra modifiers and buffs to your cyberware for an overall increase in stats.

I am currently a crafting and netrunner build (20 tech and int) and I reskilled recently to be more netrunner infiltration and less crafting. I can re respec and get that back I was not aware that optics could be upgraded! SWEEEEEEET!

THis would be news to me though so do I have to learn the schemiatic for optics somewhere or is it unlocked by perks?

for pc each ripperdoc has different cyberware all you have to do is look what each one offers but you can only access them after the main heist that happens in the begining of the game to open the world up.

Oh I'm like mid game and will be lvl 50 befor I beat it, beat the game twice already. I can and should be able to access these optics through whatever means. I am on playstation 4 for this so I will see but I think ripperdocs are selling different INVENTORIES but same implant products. So I'll revisit and look at their inventory. I definitely did not do that with each dr.

Before, it was all level based from cyberware to clothing (when clothing provided armor after upgrading them) but the difference now and than before is that you dont get armor from clothes anymore you get armor from cyberware and upgrading the cyberware instead of buying a new implant everytime and cant no longer upgrade clothes and non iconic weapons.

I think ps4 didn't get the same patches. I can still upgrade clothes or make them and they provide armor I THINK, like it provides me an armor number but I haven't done the math in combat to see if it does. It probably does. Ps4, as much as I love this game, is in a weird place with it concerning patches compared to pc. No phantom liberty either but I'm fine with that.

Yea i just looked it up and just found out how different the version's are between them and lets just say you are missing some quality of life changes to the game but you should be able still have fun to it if you want you can friend me and i can stream my gameplay here on steam for you to see

Well I still don't mind it, QOL for me would be the map and the fast travel map being different maps (like why?) having a car doesn't seem that important, radiant post game quests or stuff would be nice (but I'm fine with "life goes on" mobs) like more cyber pscyhos or police requests. Never about actual grinding or difficulty, I like doing stuff it's just as a side effect I get stronger in game but it lets me do more stuff, decent fun cycle. Difficulty wise if anyone has a hard time they can just lower it but that itself one could argue could use more qol. (difficulties, I want higher/hardest difficulty to be more than it is. Still love the game)

In real life I'd like the Glen apartment that they show in the anime, but gameplay wise I like the corpo one since it's the most bonuses (like the glen) but its' easier to get around and get my morning started. The stairs to the reading area in the Glen I'll use by accident when I want to reach the bedroom, also I just jump down to have coffee after showering in the morning where the corpo apartment meta wise there's no stairs or jumping around needed. (My character uses the ram electrolyte drink and the stamina protein powder you can craft, in the morning as well) And then I top it off with tea (coffee in the glenn) I don't leave the apartment until I got 7 buffs around.

MY PERSONAL biggest QoL issue? The televisions when you watch are too quiet, completely can't hear.

The PS4 didn't get the 2.0 patch or Phantom Liberty, so it's pretty out of date.

Did the old PS4 and x-box consoles even get the v 2.x updates?

I know they won't get the PL DLC due to its hardware requirements.
V2 was in order to prepare the game for the PL DLC.

If so, upgrading cyberware to legendary should also work on consoles. If not, i probably wont be possible and you need to stick with the old cyberware management.

I commend you for playing this long on the PS4 version. The PS4 version runs like absolute dogwank. I had the pro version and that was one of the worst gaming experiences I've ever had. The PS5 upgrade runs nice though. Well, on the performance mode anyway.
Zero McDol Jun 15, 2024 @ 12:07pm
Your last update was 1.63. 2.0+ content and updates were exclusively for the current gen Consoles. I don't know about the optics, but if they aren't in version 1.63, then they aren't in your game.

Last I checked, optics stopped at purple in 1.63.
BoxingBud Jun 15, 2024 @ 12:53pm
Yeah I could only find purple optics

You wrote you are lvl 37. Tier 5 gear starts appearing at lvl 40, so your status quo is intended. Also as was mentioned above nothing is preventing you to upgrade gear to tier 5++ . Even on lvl 1 you could hypothetically have maxed gear if you have enough parts.
