Which graphics setting would you recommend?
I could play with path tracing and 2k resolution (around 90 fps) or with 4k but only with ray tracing (around 70 fps)

What do you think makes the bigger difference? Path tracing or 4k resolution?

No one can answer that without knowing your computer specs.

looking better is subjective as people value different effects and features more. The sanest answer would be to turn them on, play a bit in either one and then decide what you prefer.

Its literally a matter of taste.

If you can configure the settings so path tracing at 2k is enabled, it will be very highly detailed, up to maybe a 40" monitor.

I always run native, but if I had a 4k display, I would definitely lower it to 2k for more frames and better refresh rate.

Hmm I would try 4k honestly but don't be surprised if even those godlike specs fold under pressure, the game won't even utilize all that hardware.

2k I mean, you would have double the frame rate *than you would at 4k

I can only say from observation that path tracing will give you a lot more depth and realistic shadows, not just to inanimate objects, but also the NPCs of Night City. They will look more natural and realistic like the original teaser trailers (pre-rendered CGI) than if you use standard ray tracing or rasterization alone.

But the choice is up to you really. Whatever your eyes enjoy the most, go with that.

I personally really like DLSS: set to DLAA, Ray Tracing off @ 2k. But that's only because I enjoy playing at 172fps as much as I can to take advantage of the 180hz at my disposal. 13900k and 4090 here. I average around 153 fps with these settings. Everything else ultra.

I'd say, whatever that your rig can handle.

For me, I run the game at high, 1080p, Max 60 fps, textures maxed, ray / path tracing off, sub surface scattering high, no motion blur nor aberration, and the Nova LUT Pure mod.

I use reshade to handle all of my ray'ish tracing, blur, color tuning, and various other effects. I found this to be the best course of action, for my RTX 3060, to keep performance closer to a constant 60 fps.
