how exactly does Dynamic resolution scaling work xD?
i only understand FSR and stuff a bit here and there downscaling resolution for more performance but why the heck does DRS just work better? it looks way better and boost performance double as effect as FSR on performance and ultra performance and both look worse and give less FPS boost how exactly does DRS work 10 times better then regular FSR .-.?

I probably should have read the topic better before responding the first time lol

I haven't had a chance to use the DRS feature in CP77 but I might try it later. I've always felt the gains people report with FSR seemed a bit fluffy. I never got as big of a difference in performance as others seem to have.

well i mostly used FSR so far and tried DRS which is just way better in my opinion lol but it might be hardware related or probably is so you might get different results but for it just works way better then FSR

DRS is dynamic resolution (to stabilize framerate) while FSR/DLSS/XeSS are fixed lower reso (to improve framerate).

Using a lower resolution is upscale. Downscale is using higher than native = SSAA.

Ingame FSR is usually not great, driver FSR is better.

literally have no idea what you mean xd
DRS is used in lots of games and it dynamically changes the render scale of the game. Or some have a manual setting like 50% or whatever. FSR and DLSS both Render at a lower Res then upscale back to your set resolution using AI.

DLSS with DRS basically renders at whatever your minimum render scale set point is set to. 50% is the minimum and this is equal to dlss performance mode. So note that weaker systems this may not be the best option as using ultra performance mode which is 33% or so would be higher fps. After playing around with DLSS DRS i think it works pretty good. I especially like that it will render at up to 100% scale. I was always manually changing from DLSS quality to DLSS Balanced previously. Quality being 67% render scale. And that being the highest quality setting. But with this new DRS setting we can now set it to 100% which is DLAA. If it will actually do DLAA in this mode. Using Ray Reconstruction can't be used with DLAA. Testing shows render scale at 100% and Reconstruction working and note i did manually set it On. However using Reconstruction with DLSS DRS stutters a bit. So can't really use Reconstruction. Also sadly you can't use Pathing either. Enabling Pathing disables the ability to use DLSS DRS. So 2 options that i prefer i can't use.

Looks like i'm back to Pathing+Reconstruction and manually switching between DLSS quality and Balanced.

Note that if you want you can watch the resolution scaling changing on the fly with the DLSS overlay. In windows hit search type in regedit. Search for Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore
Add new dword32bit value and name it ShowDlssIndicator
set value to 400 hex or 1024 decimal and this will turn on the DLSS overlay bottom left of your screen. To disable it set value to 0. Add this key to your favorites and name it show dlss overlay enable 400(1024)
if you don't use Reconstruction it should show 4 lines instead of the 2 mine shows below.

And i still get downscale upscale arse backwards all the time. Techno mumbo jumbo like i just ranted about as well. I often confuse myself.
