Game spontaneously became blurry after beginning quest for Panam?
I have this graphical issue where my game all of a sudden became blurry. I have played for like 30 ish hours or so and all of a sudden the game is blurring objects that are immediately in front of me. It's as though my character now needs glasses. What gives? My settings for the most part are on ultra, and I have depth of field on. If I turn depth of field off, it sovles the issue, but I would prefer distant objects do be blurred for higher fps. Currently it's blurring the face of a vendor if I talk to them. It's like my character is going blind

Do you have any form of resolution upscaling on? Such as DLSS, FSR, or XeSS? Sounds to me like it may be set to "auto" for either of these.

that's right! My dls super resolution was set to auto? What should I have it set to? Performance from my understanding is fps. Would this compromise my image if I used that though?

Well typically the best image you get is by having no upscaling at all, giving you the native resolution you set the game to. But you'll get less performance overall.

What DLSS/FSR/XeSS do is render the game at a lower resolution and use their respective algorithm to reconstruct the final image the best it can at a given resolution, which typically results in higher framerates at the cost of visual fidelity (and blur).

Honestly you need to test it out on your end to see what image and framerate you're comfortable with. "Performance" will absolutely give you the worst upscaling quality but the best performance overall.

Also DLSS/FSR/XeSS are not made equal. Benchmark each one at different settings to see what image and framerate you prefer. But in any case don't use "auto" for either of these, the quality won't be consistent.
