Netrunner Nerfs
I had been heavily considering giving the game another play (as CDPR has released 1.3) and after reading up, I am backpeddling on that decision.

I had a stealth netrunner build and after checking out other messages and watching some videos, it appears that build has been severely gimped.

Note: I did feel contagion was a bit much and needed tweaking down but it seems like ilt's been made fairly useless now? I've also heard you no longer ping through walls?

I personally think CDPR went the wrong way with this and should have just tagged some enemies as not hackable (not connected to the network) or have a greater quick hack resistance based on game difficulty.

If CDPR has nerfed a netrunner's ability to remain stealth by giving the enemies a significant amount of time to find you while you're hammering contagion 100x to kill them...it definately takes the desire to play the game away for me.

I welcome constructive feedback and insight from anyone who has tested it out extensively.
Please keep opinions on how I like to play the game out of it though (aka be nice please).

There are no silencers for tech weapons or sniper rifles. The only sniper rifle with a silencer is the one you get from Panam. I haven't played a Netrunner since the changes (yet) but the loss of damage on Contagion was needed and i don't see too many problems with the loss of our hacking ability through walls. We can still ping and tag them to make sure they're permanently visible, even through walls. Just hack into the cams, switch through them, kill everyone with Short Circuit, Overheat, Suicide, Cyberpsychosis, Detonate Grenade, Synapse Burnout or a System Reset. Easy game. Use the Netwatch Netdriver and you can kill 3 enemies at the same time using whatever hack you like if those enemies are close to each other.

But it is a good idea to combine a Netrunner with tech weapons. Use a Nekomata until you get the Widowmaker and then use that. Be silent and sneaky when you want to be and go loud with a bang when you don't want to. Technical Ability and Intelligence are necessary but the third stat is up to you. As a Netrunner you don't want to go inside a building (at least not while the enemies are still alive) and if something goes wrong you just shoot 'em through the walls with a Nekomata or the Widowmaker. Aiming with tech weapons will be a bit tricky until you get the perk that allows you to trigger the shot when you want and not the second the weapon is fully charged. Keeping Lizzy around for those moments where they catch you with your pants down is also a good idea.

A stealth pistol build with the Overture also works really great with a Netrunner but then you will need to figure out what you want because your ability points are limited, even more so if you don't want to go all the way to level 50. Oh and anything crit related from weapons or perks (only exception is the perk that gives you 15% crit while in stealth) doesn't work so keep that in mind when you want to go with a silenced pistol for your Netrunner. Crit related stats from the Cold Blood skill and cyberware still work, as do the clothing mods.
