As of right now, you can't.
Are they too easy? Too hard? Not enough variety?
(If you are willing to use mods, might be able to suggest some that can help make it interesting again, if I know what's making it unfun)

is there a mod to disable?
I want to choose my difficulty by taking a more dangerous or a more easy mission. If everything is the same it ruining all the tactical fun.

Nop, you can't disable it, and there is no mods to disable it.
But there is mods that actually have a slider that allow you to decrease or increase both V and enemy damage.

ok that is sad news..... but thank you for the info. Guess the game has then evolved into a "no play" for me. :(

You can try those mods that increase damage done by enemies, they actually can make the game very challenging. But if you looking for a way to have different types of difficulty based on the enemy type, then no, i'm afraid you can't.

You can have slightly different difficulty based on gangoon/mook types, there is a few mods that can change that (prior to the 1.12 patch lol, everyone is on catch up)

However, the main one I know for that only works on 'very hard' difficulty.
Works by switching up how hard you/they hit/get hit or by swapping out the skull grade mobs/adding more of those to replacd the lower level versions.

...you could just turn up the difficulty. It's essentially the same as fighting higher level enemies. Except that you can also just turn it back down whenever you want.

You know you can go back to the old version right?
(So long as you don't care about the expansion content or steam achievements)
Go to your library page, right click on cyberpunk 2077 and choose 'properties'
Find the 'betas' menu and choose '1.63 Legacy'
The game will reinstall the old version.
If you crash when trying to start it up (I had that when I tried it) via steam, just find the cyberpunk 2077.exe and shortcut it to desktop.
Launched from that, it usually plays fine after that.

honestly level scaling I think is a good thing...

im currently playing a very hard difficulty game.... the level scaling was a lil rough early game but i'd say around 20-30 im scaling better than enemies... dont even feel like its very hard mode anymore...

but thats thanks to the perks, cyberware, and the skill ranks mostly.... I grinded my skills to 35 early for the extra perk points at ranks 15 and 35.... so 10 extra perk points before doing maelstrom quest plus 1 extra from perk shard you can pick up in Act 1.... so 11 extra perk points before doing the heist....

then after the heist i'd go collect the other 9 perk shards around the map to help beef me up more... then start the parker and voodoo boys questline to open up phantom liberty content... before even finishing the prologue quest you can grab 2 more perk shards and the final perk shard once dogtown is officially open to you....

so while the enemies may scale to your level.... those perk shards are essentially giving you like "hidden levels" making you much stronger than you normally would be... thats like 23 levels ahead of the enemies scaling pretty much... I mean the enemies scale off your level not your perk point value...

which the perk points are more of an impact than the attribute level ups.... I mean real game changers.... like adrenaline rush and overclock... really flesh out your character more than just leveling the attribute themselves...

I despise level scaling thats why I haven't updated the game to 2.0+ yet. It makes the game not viable and its super boring because every enemy feels the same...

yep THIS.

Game gets boring cause its always same. On earlier version you had to choose missions wisely or could sometimes make much harder missions via stealth.
Stealth is rather obsolete with levelscaling cause you can waltz through mission anyway.

It also created world feeling. Some districts where more dangerous in city than others. Or you drove by a Police action with deadly enemys where you didnt wana get involved.
Level scaling kills it all. and its also the most lazy tool a developer can use to balance a game.

Agreed. Lots of players would complain that they are not free to go everywhere and do anything from the beginning. That probably was the rationale behind the changes.

I wish they had this as an option, or as a mod with it's switch, a bit like Silverhand's apperance switch.
Silverbane7 Mar 1, 2024 @ 12:34pm
It was done because of phantom liberty.

By going with level scaling, they could allow folks to jump right into the expansion (at level 15, if you use the quick start option) while letting the player choose when to go there.

Otherwise they would have had to rework the levels by hand, decide exactly when you would be allowed to start the expansion content.
(And all the folks telling them here 'I won't buy if I have to play thru the base game again' probably helped them choose it too.)

Hopefully some kind (or totally insane) modder is wanting to take up the gauntlet, but will need to wait for the patches to stop and the game to stabilise.
