Appropriate vanilla character customisation - is there any hope?

After all those patches and fixes the only downside of the game which still remains - is customisation! Character creation screen - your only option for the male body is the 40 yo untrained junkie. For the head - you have to spend at least an hour to make it look nearly handsome and only few options for the facial parts are usable for this purpouse. I believe that most of the facial parts ARE NEVER USED BY ANYONE. Why, CDPR? Why any random mediocre street gang goon is looking way cooler, than the main character? Why there is no usable prostetic arms or cool looking cosmetic cybergear? Why the shops have only about 20% of all the cool outfits, weared by npcs? Why I have to install at least 20 mods from random autors to bring it all into my gameplay just for you to kill it with another patch?

Just going to say, modded clothing clips like hell. Even between mods from the same modder.

I have hundreds of pieces of clothing from mods installed, and any time I go to make a new outfit, it's a dance of switching back and forth between all sorts of options because *something* clips in 80% of them. Seven different pairs of pants clip seven different ways with this pair of underwear or that pair of stockings.
Which is fine in modded stuff, because it's hobby stuff done in their spare time. We accept more bugs & issues with mods, because we know it's fan work.
Stuff from the devs has higher expectations, so it takes a lot more work to get right (or close to right, more likely. Even after 10x the work, there'll still likely be some issues.)

I really wanted some body types that typify the tabletop it's doing homage to... I wanted Animal-esque Solos wielding shottys and Maelstrom-esque monoblade chromejocks and waifu netrunners and all the sketches we fantasized about when roleplaiying our favourite 'runners... I'm still mad over there not being a Rockerboy class other than that voice in your head.

Since CDPR are rampant fans of the source material, I'm guessing it turned out to be a technical issue with body scaling, not a design decision. Just like Rockerboy, how can you use influence, leadership, and riot-causing as a class in a single-player game?!

For guys, there is the 'gymfiend' and 'Adonis' body type mods. For gals, 'Solo' type. These are the muscled bodies (Solo is not big, but toned, admittedly) and the guys are not Animals huge, closer to Jackie and River than your average roid rager.

MONSTERaider has some cosmetic Maelstrom cyberwear.
Again, I understand folks expected more, and mods are only a crutch.

I'm still a little bent out of shape we lost the cosmetic (afaik) 'hero V looked up to' (was a choice between Morgan Blackhand, Saburo Arasaka and Johnny Silverhand) but I can see why.
Morgan has almost been scrubbed from the game, just a coupe of verbal mentions and his 'Solo's handbook' shard, along with the legendary Solo clothing set.
And Johnny....well, if V had idolised him, now could V be so clueless as to not recognise him and how could Johnny be mostly forgotten?
