Plus it still does everything else it did per usual like distraction, exploding stuff, camera control, sentry control, hacking the ID scanners to pretend to be an employee, etc.
Legendary quickhacks are usually better. IIRC there was like one exception (can't remember which one off top of my head tho).
At the moment hacking is extremely overpowered late game and only beaten by stealth cool tree early game.
I use the Netwatch Netdriver cyberdeck, and it's very efficient at tier 5++, with 30% extra damage and +50% duration for quickhacks uploaded through cameras / computers, which I think is very fun. Also 50% reduction in RAM for vehicle hacks, which is great for blowing up cars that are following you during the car-jacking missions and such (which have great rewards). And it has 6 extra RAM, like the Tetratronic Rippler.
But yes, the high cost of tier 5 quickhacks is a bit brutal. Memory Wipe from costing 10 RAM on tier 4 to 24 on tier 5 is harsh. I use mainly tier 3 and 4 quickhacks, and even sometimes tier 2. The extra damage from the deck makes them quite effective still.
Memory Wipe tier 4 then Overheat tier 3 or 4 takes out enemies quietly and without tracing very quickly, and with skills in the quickhack queue system and RAM regen you can take out a lot of enemies in a room / area in one go without alerting the other ones.
Also an Iconic cyberware item (forgot the name, in the top left slot, I believe) that refills 45% RAM when you have less than 20% left is very helpful for a few extra Memory Wipe / Overheat combos.
Sorry I couldn't help with the original question, though. Just wanted to share my experiences of being a netrunner. I feel it's very overpowered (but fun!), although I'm only playing on normal difficulty.
Description
This mod enhances enemy netrunners by adding a bunch of hacks so that they can do more than just Overheat. Some of the new hacks were already in the game and unused, some of them I had to create.
the mod page description goes into greater detail information on what it does and features, to long to post the information here, see link at top
Or the cyber ninja type with hacks and katana's.
You can set your monowire up to use it to deliver a quickhack physically now (might be just if you have the expansion)
You set the quickhack to the monowire slot, and when you hit the target with it, it uploads the quickhack onto them.
