How to open the console
How do you access the console in Cyberpunk 2077? I installed cyber engine to toggle judy's romance option and the first step is to access the console using the ~ or @. Neither has worked.

When you first run the game after installing Cyber Engine Tweaks, it will ask you to keybind your choice of a key to access the console.

i saved this from when my CET was breaking the keybinds.

1. Head to your CP game folder and open "bindings.json" file in Notepad.

Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\bindings.json

2. Look for:

"cet": {
"overlay_key": xxxxxxx [ <--- this is a binding key code]
},

3. Replace it with 32369622321725440 (F4).

"cet": {
"overlay_key": 32369622321725440
},

4. Save the file, restart and press F4.
5. If CET shows up, select "Bindings" and change the binding to the key you want. Click Save.
6. Write your binding somewhere (eg. a sticky note) as a reminder (not required).

for me, i used a marker to put a * below my chosen key. (once i rebound it)

From CET?
I think it makes it itself the first time you load into the game.
The above was copied from an old text file, using notepad. (As it's the most basic windows Program for saving text, I use it so it can copy/paste into any word processor Program)

You should be able to get the file ether with the mod download, or via the mod maker page, might be someone there had the same issue? Check in the 'bugs' tab aswell as the 'discussion' tab on its page on the nexus, or maybe if it has a github page there might be a download for possible missing file issues there.

Thank you! I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get the overlay to appear. Turns out it was bound to a different key (no idea which). All fixed now, kudos!

Hey, if anyone still has this problem and wants to recover their Cyber Engine Tweaks' overlay key on-the-fly, you can use this code I just wrote solely for this reason: github url[github.com]
