Phantom Liberty, Verification Failed.
i know a lot of people have problems with saves and starting new games.. this is not that problem!

Saturday; booted up the game after a long break, made sure the game and mods were updated. It started with no problems and ran smoothly, no error messages.
I could not remember the key-bind I had made to open up a specific mod
(to change apartment look)
after a while I figured out the solution. I deleted the mod, and reinstalled to get the fully updated version.
However after that my game could no longer verify that I had PL dlc (which I do) and would crash when attempting to start a game, and auto disable mods due to errors, still crashed with mods fully turned off.

Sunday; I removed all mods from my computer, all files. Uninstalled the game, removed all files from my system. Reinstalled the game. No mods. Same error messages, cannot verify that I have PL dlc. however it would no longer crash the game when trying to continue, but again, no PL dlc.

I have now uninstalled and double checked that I have removed all files from my pc connected to cyberpunk and any mods connected to it as well. Made sure all my drivers are updated (which they already were)

What do I do now?

I had not changed any key-binds in the game, only added one for the specific mod.

usually when Verification Fail's on any game, steam supposed to Reacquire the failed or corrupted file for the game

if you have no additional hard drives or partition walls on your PC the install location for the game is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077 try navigating to that location and see if there's a Cyberpunk 2077 there

no additional harddrives (outside of one for the basic system, which i checked)
and deleted everything connected to cyberpunk including all folders and files.

the verification error i get is from the game itself when launched, not from verifying integrity of files with steam. of course i have done that, multiple times, but it did not resolve the issue, even when it says it has.

I had the similar problem. (steamcommunity.com/app/1091500/discussions/0/4210371558767394306/) Verification failed, please check your game files integrity, blah blah. I updated my graphic card's driver. In an hour, steam started to download 2.6gb of PL. Then all problems had gone. I suggest to try different driver versions of your gpu.

I checked all my drivers before my second attempt, but nothing was missing.
When I did my thirs fresh install today, I put PL to not install, and then did it after the main game.

The launcher has some things that are not proper loaded, but so far it seems the game works, tho not played much yet, had work to go to

My "verification failed" message was an in-game message, just like yours. If you are out of options, you can try downgrade driver version. I guess it looks worth to try.
