Any good "Body, Reflexes, Cool" builds?
Trying to play a Nomad V, figured it'd be fun to ignore intelligence (hacking) and technical ability (tech weapons and higher cyberware capacity) to focus in on the three above attributes. Dialogue-wise they'd add together to make him a tough charmer with lightning reflexes. Real silver-screen cowboy type stuff.

Any suggestions for perks or cyberware would be greatly appreciated! In the case of the latter, I also thought of ignoring chrome that outright replaces bodyparts instead of just enhancing them (arms, legs, sandevistan because it removes sections of spine) and mostly just sticking to armor and healing items.

Ideas greatly appreciated!

don't need to be a Nomad to be cool. Cool is all about knives. Throwing 'em, Poisoning your enemies with 'em, Crippling gangoons with 'em -- it's a fun build. Additionally, you get Sniper rifle and Pistol perks, allowing you to go for distant kills.

Oh, totally agree. Just felt like going Nomad because it's one I've yet to playthrough. Plus you could argue that knives, both fighting and throwing, can be kinda cowboy too. I made use of them during a no-chrome run to take out cameras and it definitely is pretty awesome! Pistols are a must for the concept though. What cowboy's complete without a trusty revolver?

^Knives are pretty fun early on, but if you come across a specific Pistol called Nue (it is not iconic) it absolutely demolishes throwing builds and is clearly grossly overpowered making throwing look like a joke (fortunately you can swap over to the other tree at any time in 2.0). Superior dmg, can double tap to finish someone that only a single special iconic knife with its stun effect can do, has zero fall off with a later perk, is silenced, superior accuracy, focus mode's slow effect, can use it to take out 2 guys at once side by side extremely reliably before the AI marks you discovered (extremely important in your case since you will not be using hacking to distract and stuff), and Panam's silenced rifle Overwatch does like 3k dmg.

There is a cyberware, since you wont be using a deck, iirc that boosts both stealth + headshot dmg at the same time which should be pretty grizzly for you if you go the stealth route at all.

Double jump tendons will be great to help you access various routes and assassinate, especially since you have more limited route options without hacking.

The PL skill tree might be useful for you, too.

I'm working on Reflex tree atm but am not too deep into it so no comment. Body I've never touched.

hate to disagree, but i was attacking Adam Smasher with Knives last playthrough. And prior to reaching him, i was using Scorpion or Chef's Knife in every single encounter. Didn't even use guns, for most of the playthrough. Just aim, and throw for instant crit death.

now it does get a bit overpowered using Knives and all, so i specced into some SMGs for variety.

Was Reflex/Cool build, minor in Body and Technical. Blades and knives, Sandevistan, and Kerenzikov, corpo Ninja.

Love double jumping too.

Not sure why you would disagree tbh. Nue, literally, has higher dmg output then knives. When not hacking he also would need the ability to kill multiple guards before they alert if they're near each other and lacks the distract hack which knives cannot accomplish (unless lucky with the low percentage instant return effect mod).

Its not that throwing builds is not viable or strong (because it is), they're just totally outclassed by pistol/sniper build (specifically Nue & Overwatch, none of the other snipers are silenced and all the other pistols have a literal fraction of the dmg except the Tax iconic). This actually isn't even counting the fact that, technically, the Nue's dmg is 2x because it can shoot twice on a person before they alert which knives cannot reliably due except the one iconic which stuns but doesn't have the proper follow up on its own. Knives also are heavily limited by range while pistols can literally snipe from absurd distances with zero accuracy or fall off issues due. Plus going pistol affords you Overwatch sniper for tougher enemies which is, frankly, absurd for a weapon.

I played my first 34 levels as a throwing build until I wandered across a Nue and was like "wtf is this damage stat?", tested it, and went from there. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some rebalancing of Nue & Overwatch at some point because they're clearly very excessively overpowered, even compared to already powerful stuff like throwing. Then again, I imagine System Collapse hack as well as Contagion abuse are ahead of them on the chopping block. :p

well, i only 'disagreed' as a point of art, you know, as a way to say 'hello fellow choom, let me get my 2 eddies of sense into this convo,' that's all.

of course guns are the better way, there's so many different kinds, and you can shoot and stuff and it's all a lotta fun. but afterawhile, V does get a bit OP and using silenced Sniper rifles and OP pistols seemed to strip the fun away from the game for me.

using knives was my way of self-balancing the challenge, as it was getting a bit too ez. and even then, knives made things ez. so there's that aspect of it too.

personally, i have favorite guns and i prefer the Liberty style over the Nue. Just the look of a certain weapon would often be the reason i'd use it or not. And I disliked Power weapons in general. Ricochet wasn't my style, i prefered Smart weaponry.
