2.11 has caused my inventory/wardrobe/previews to glitch for several seconds, and I *HATE* it
I've not seen this since picking the game back up in early January (didn't play for a couple years), but since 2.11 went live every time I open my inventory, preview a new drop, or visit the wardrobe I get several seconds of glitching avatar. It's somewhat headache inducing, and I absolutely hate it (even without the headache). I've not seen any posts addressing this.

I've updated my drivers, deleted that appdata folder that fixes other issues, changed wardrobe and changed my body at a ripperdoc to try to get rid of the visual static. Also set ALL setting to default, and nothing fixes this. It is visually in the style of the game, so I can't tell if it's intended, but I *HATE* it. I don't appreciate several seconds of eyestrain just because I open my inventory, and again when I want to see what these new boots look like.

I'm running on a potato, i7 4770, 16g ram and a 2080ti. But before this update I never saw these effects. If it was at most 1 second, I could manage, but 3-5 seconds is terrible.

I've also verified files, run the benchmark, everything I can think of except modding.

Do I have to find a mod?

edit: oh, yeah... I don't have Phantom Liberty, just the base game. Ran fine before, and runs okay after aside from the visual glitching.

Do you or have you ever used any mods, they need updating after every patch.

Nope, never. It's so vanilla that it would make cardboard yawn.

I believe you're looking for "FX Begone - Inventory" mod.

That was last updated 26 days ago, so if I have to use it I'll likely wait for a 2.11 update.

That said, I don't understand why 2.11 has those effects and 2.1 did not. I just spammed F12 on my inventory, hopefully I can attach an image or two that shows what's happening.

Then the glitch effect has always been there as it is base game functionality.

Then why wasn't it there for the past month? and 3-5 seconds between each item preview is, to be honest, stupid. Especially when it causes headaches.

I never saw it before this patch.

Not all of the mods require an update, especially if it's some fx mod that enhances or reduces the effect. Also, it was always there, maybe it became more pronounced after the last patch or two. Anyway, I'm using it flawlessly now.

Okay. Very strange that it was never visible before, and now it's obnoxiously visible.

*wanders off to nexusmods**

I've been playing v2.1 for 180+ hours, and never once saw any glitch effect over the character when opening inventory or viewing clothing items at stores. I've also never installed any mods in the game, so I've been running vanilla.

Perhaps it was a "bug" that I wasn't seeing the glitches, but I'm certainly annoyed that it was "fixed", because the effect is absolutely annoying. I don't mind any other glitch effects in the game, and really don't want to install mods here, but this is just plain stupid.

Oh man, yeah, that glitch effect in inventory is super annoying. I've been playing 2.1 for like 140-hours now, and it just started doing that last night with the 2.11 patch.

I'm looking for a fix now too - really don't want to have to install a mod, and don't want it to affect anything else in the game, just inventory switching. I been playing on pure vanilla up until now.

I'd be ok with that transition effect lasting like 0.25 seconds just as a transition, but it's sitting there for 3-5 seconds like it can't load in the assets, and definitely giving me a headache in the process too.

I went ahead and added that FX Begone, and it worked perfectly, I only used the inventory part, so it was less than 100kb and had no dependencies. Big thanks to IcedFREELANCER for the suggestion!

This. So much this. Especially as it did the glitch for every previewed item.

Glad that helped. I don't like both this effect and that 3d-like HUD blurryness myself
