I can customize rayfield cars now!

Added the CrystalCoat feature which allows you to change vehicle paint color. Because this technology was developed exclusively by Rayfield, it is currently only available for Rayfield vehicles you own.

EDIT:
This works oly with the two cars you can buy not for the black "free" one also the corlor will set to default if you leave the car and swaps back to what ever you choose if you hop in.

At a guess, it's a mini-project done by a newer member of staff or a dev in their spare time. Like the gun vending machines were. It's either they put it in game or it goes into someone's portfolio, sadly not a 'and huge amounts of new content get added' option to them.

Oh sweet, hope this part of the patch: "it is currently only available for Rayfield vehicles you own."

will get expanded to most other vehicles later on.

Weren't gun vending machines added like 3 years ago? Hope the lil dev gets a promotion or raise for his efforts and persistence throughout the years.

Just one example of it which they publicly talked about for this game. Parts of the community were weirdly dismissive of it and so I'm not sure they'll go out of their way to point them out again.)

I'd assume it was something some dev did more or less in their "spare time", cos it's a feature lots and lots of players have asked for for a long time and something the dev really wanted in the game, too. Maybe a test run for more, if it works out they might decide to expand the color change options to other vehicles if enough players like and use it? Definitely does look like a test run too me.

I hope this expand to the rest of the cars, I like the Villefort Cortes but the buyable model have an awful color which make it looks like The Simpsons car.

Anyone have problem with key? Idk what to do, default key Y not work. Its free, update just not bind it and there no option to bind in settings.

enter the vehicle and you should find the option to change the colour in the HUD on lower left corner (above Radio and Messages). Hold Key (default Y) and the colour wheel pops up.
The colour will revert back to default, when you exit the vehicle, but will switch to your custom paint again when you enter the vehicle.
