The only explanation I see is that NVIDIA does not want them to add FSR3 to the game. It's been their favourite showcase product these past few years, after all.

Yeah still no FSR 3 but i think FSR 2.1 might have got a few tweaks I think it's looking better than it did before the patch.

This game is a green team sponsored title. I wouldn’t be even remotely surprised if CDPR signed a timed exclusivity contract to delay the addition of AMD’s tech being added to the game.

That’s just capitalism for you.

CDPR are partnered with AMD to implement it. From how Avatar had it done, I'd think there's still issues to resolve with a game where there can be a lot of text on screen and the choice can be between blurry text or a lot of tearing around where the text has been boxed off. Just seems like AMD announced things before they were anywhere close to being ready.

They also are partnered with NVIDIA, who used CP2077 as the main showcase for their new rendering techs (RT, PT, DLSS3, Ray Reconstruction), and it wouldn't be surprising if the greens signed them to not add the newest red tech.
Oh, and the unofficial FSR3 FG mods are working perfectly fine with in-game text, which suffers much more from the poor FSR2 implementation.

The partnership with AMD was signed last year when AMD announced FSR3 was coming to Cyberpunk 2077.

I'm glad the mods have fixed issues present when I last tried in December. Sounds positive for the official implementation if there's no longer tearing, nor any of the other graphical issues and input lag I had.

Every update I am awaiting FSR3. It is offical that CP 2077 will get FSR3. Every source including AMD, AMD press released and CDPR themselves have said so. I am hoping it comes soon. Going to go start a new game with this patch and test out the FSR2.1. Hoping it got improved. I had many issues with flickering and shimmering before this. None of this happens in Avatar FOP. IT looks PERFECT in avatar, same with forspoken demo.
fsr3 will be incredible. Frame Gen looks and works perfect for me in avatar. SO EXCITED to have my first amd computer and saved 200 bucks off the 4080 for this 7900xtx a year ago. I wish nvidia released the 4080TI for 1000 last year , but they didn't and the lost me as a customer. I have banked on AMD , my first amd gpu/cpu compter, ever. never had amd before. Always intel/nvidia only. and mostly evga nvidia cards only.

Glad I went with 7900xtx and glad amd is releasing amazing things. I can now use amd fluid motion frames in cyberpunk. Works pretty good, but waiting for official fsr3 , waiting and waiting.
amd is doing great, fsr3 will ROCK. Excited.
I hope it comes SOON! :)
i am waiting for FSR 3 too to buy the game, with inflation going on upgrading PC is not an option for time being.

“For the time being”?!?!

I’m the furthest thing from an economist but even I can tell you that inflation has been happening since… forever. Specific rates depend on the country of course but you won’t find a place on Earth that is immune to inflation lol.

Well except Antarctica and some extremely remote uninhabited islands where the most advanced piece of tech is a literal eroded rock.

What crawled up your ass? Ofcourse no country is immune to inflation. Hes just implying that his country inflation situation is currently at it's worst state for upgrading PC to be an option "for the time being".

The inflation rate in Indonesia (which is where this user seems to be from judging by their post history) is 2.61% as of December 2023[www.bps.go.id] according to the official Bureau of Statistics so your argument that "his country inflation situation is currently at it's worst state" is false.

It's quite the opposite, actually. The y-on-y inflation is going down if you look at the data so the situation is not only good but improving. Whatever is keeping this user from upgrading their PC is unlikely to be inflation. High tariffs on consumer electronics or their personal finances are more likely to be cause.

The thing about inflation figures published by governments is you cant really trust any of them like most things governments do the numbers tend to be heavily manipulated.

I expect the original commenter meant to say cost of living, not inflation.

Inflation alone is a very poor way of measuring disposable income.
