Can't pick up "Over the Edge" gift

The box is there. It cannot be interacted with, because it is too close to Muamar where it disables all actions like jumping and attacking while near him. Amazing.

If dialogue option are active, try say anything to Muamar, you must be "time window" to rush push "F" to take box items.

Reloading wasn't working for me, and I spent about 20 minutes trying to get a car onto the cliff behind it to jump up from outside Muamar's range to no avail.

Closed out of the game as I had an errand to run and was ready to try your advice when I booted it back up just now but just a full restart (rather than a reload) of the game seemed to have fixed it.
Still, thank you for the advice.
