Cyberpunk 2077 has probably the best soundtrack i've heard in a game in DECADES.

I agree. It's got one of my favorite soundtracks in gaming. It's got my new favorite credits roll music as well. Just be warned these forums are filled with trolls so this post is gonna attract them like flies on feces.

I like the soundtrack, but it's all subjective at the end of the day. Just because I like it doesn't make it a massively good soundtrack.

Music is subjective in general, so a consensus of agreement is the best you can hope for and if you look at Youtube view counts for the music you can tell it's pretty popular, meaning yes it is in fact massively good.

That sounds objective to me, in which I disagree. Popular, I would've agreed with.

To me, it just means that lots of people like it. It doesn't mean that it's good. Popular doesn't always mean quality, just as quality doesn't always mean popular, because one can just as easily be one without being the other, pending on who's listening to a particular song.

So up to you, but I'm not going there.

That sounds objective to me, in which I disagree. Massively popular, I would've agreed with.

my thread is about what i think of the Cyberpunk 2077 music. i think it is massively good, which of course is a subjective opinion on my part. if people agree with me, and also like the soundtrack then we get into popularity.

but, objective-ness really has no place here. the closest i think we can get to making a universal claim about Cyberpunk 2077 music is that i will definitely gaslight anyone who thinks differently about the Cyberpunk 2077 OST.

Maybe, kind of, but not really. Things being popular is the only real data point you can have on music being "Objectively" good. So if you're going to make statements claiming it's "Not massively good" that's the only data point people can use to debate you. The entire argument is like two kids just saying "Nuh uh!" back and forth.

Okay, then consider this. The video has 74,000+ views. Some of the most popular music on Youtube has millions of views. If you really want to go the numbers route, then there's your data.
