So 10GB VRAM not quite enough for Phantom Liberty

Just trying optimise things, potentially with RT reflections. Only way to do it and get smooth performance now seems to be with medium textures. While most textures still look fine, there are a fair few that look ugly at medium.

The performance is still reasonably fine on my RTX 3080, and it's not bad at all in the main cirty, Dogtown is another thing entirely. It's not like I've maxed everything out either, only enabled RT reflections and still have big performance drops. They manifest pretty bad
in and around that Pyramid club. But performance is much better with medium textures.

Seriously thinking of upgrading to the up coming RTX 4070Ti Super or 4080 Super....

At 4k Utra Ray Tracing Pathing, DLSS DLAA+Frame Generation i'm at 15.6gb and no mods. And lol 10fps And it actually exceeds 16gb to 16.7gb. I was actually getting 25fps but soon as it started using shared mem fps went to 10fps. DLAA+Pathing not a good option. Doh just hit 16gb for the gpu. Hit 17.4gb total. Looks like DLAA uses 4gb or so.

I'm running at 1440P. Like I said, not really bothered about maxing out. A compromise between performance and graphics quality.

I hear ya dude. I run at 1440p as well. It is worrisome though. Was kinda hoping 16gb be enough for future proofing for 5 years or so. Looks like that might not be the case. At least not for 4k DLAA. But hard for me to tell until i finish my 13600k build.

RTX 4080 Super seems like the best bang for your buck. Just gotta wait 2 and a half weeks longer. I just wish they would have up'd the vram to 20GB.

Nowadays 16gb of vram is like the minimum for a lot of newer games. Anything less like my puny 4070ti with 12gb of vram has some issues with some games.

I have already tested the FSR Mod, impressive. However low VRM causes stutter/judder which frame gen doesn't help solve.

My advice is to either on that area, turn off RT completely. NC is fine but DT hit your GPU like a truck.

It is obligatory to use fsr 3.0 for 3080 and u will have a very smooth experience including path tracing (for path tracing i suggest you the mod to improve performance with the 3080)

turn Hardware GPU scheduling on in Win 10. it helps with performance.

My settings/specs:

3070ti @ 1440p
- DLSS Quality
- Ray reconstruction ON
- Sharpening 80
- RT set @ Medium: every RT setting on (shadows, etc)
- Textures High
- Everything on High except:
Volumetric Fog: Medium
Volumetric Clouds: Medium

59-65 FPS
smooth gameplay

I stopped using any RT on CP2077 on my 3080. I prefer a higher frame rate over RT in this game.
