Are there no 'straight' romance options for fem V?

I think there's one male prostitute I found as fem V but in terms of actual straight romances are there any? I find that limitation strange

It's River Ward. You have to save Randy and if you kiss him on the water tower it initiates the relationship.

River's not my favorite character, but you've missed a significant block of missions if you've not romanced River Ward, including the "farm serial killer" mission, which is as bizarre and disturbing as the "Sinnerman" and "Saving Evelyn from the sex traffickers" missions.

That's assuming they missed him as a character. They might have just made decisions that locked them out of the romance.

It's River Ward. You have to save Randy and if you kiss him on the water tower it initiates the relationship.

i never played Fem V, but pretty sure they used the same interaction with him on the tower regardless of gender. He does reject male V if you try to kiss him, but it seemed like he was 100% coming onto male V lmfao.

If this was the case, you should know then.

If you use Female voice you get River, as stated above.
If you use Male voice, you get Panam.

Romance options are based on voice choice, not body options.

You can use Female voice V with Male genitals and still romance Judy or River, I've done so with Judy and had a laugh about how she's apparently only picky about how V sounds.

judy & kerry care about v's body type (masc vs fem) as well as voice type, while river and panam only care about v's body type

"genitals" is a separate option from body type

voice alone has zero impact on romance options

I've played this game for 200-something hours now, couple playthroughs. Often times I mix up my character gender but I've played male V twice and I really thought River was gay.

The writing in this game is pretty annoying. I always feel awkward with him like they wrote him to just make straight dudes unsure if he's gonna try hit on them.

Kinda similar to how awful the writing for Claire is. She is crazy flirty when she texts and talks to you in game if you are maleV all the way up until she just randomly drops it on you that she used to be a dude not long ago. And that's not mentioning how she just lies about her husbands death and then murders Sampson in cold blood while he's in a car wreck for christs sake.

As a straight dude who's been hit on multiple times in my life by gay dudes I don't hate them for it, but it's very distinct and you know it just like you know a girl is hitting on you. This writing is pretty poor in my opinion overall

All of the romance options hit on you up to the point where they reject or take you. The writing diverges for characters only in a few places. Play fem V, Panam hits on you hard, snuggles up to you on the couch, then says I'm not into women if you return her advances. That's just how it goes due to the limited amount of different dialogues. They didn't make all different lines for characters depending if they're interested in you or not, so all the romance options come off as flirtatious regardless of your character's gender.
