Also the listed since launch bounties being consistent would mean the 'credit shard' drops enemies sometimes have worth less than selling a pistol wouldn't look as good. (still always pleasantly surprised when I see any cash increase pop up without looting money objects after killing off a mid mission ambush).
Expect someone to be along shortly bragging "Oh gosh, money still to easy please make things cost more and also charge me rent"
On that note. Ozob is a saint he pays you 100k for betting 32k on a boxing match. As opposed to fixers paying you less than a pair of chromed pants costs on a street corner market for extracting things from a minefield.
Honestly the answer is "Get a higher level" They neutered drop rates, but higher level making guns and knives worth more than mission payments is still the main source of true income. I don't even bother with NCPD scanners unless they interrupt me anymore until tier 5 orange drops at minimum.
in my recent replays I reminded myself that bumrushing the main plot through pacifica and the start of the DLC gets me more levels (and therefore loot money) faster than circling around the tutorial block clearing out the small time jobs before the heist on the next run.
the game tells me when I kill a ganger with a bounty on them (using the "z" key to look), I get paid that bounty....
It doesnt seem to work.
Am I doing something wrong - or - it just doesnt work?
You do get paid it's just not a lot. You won't see it pop up until you are out of combat and it will combine with any other money you earned. You might get like 1k tops per head, but most likely under 500.
