Airdrop spawn rate

Are there only a certain number of airdrops that can trigger before they are all exhausted or do they refresh indefinitely?

Anyone play PL enough to know whether they can find airdrops in the same spot multiple times in one playthrough? Really racking my brain trying to figure out how to search an answer for this specific question.

It seems there is no limit how many time they happen. Number of places are limited (you can learn them after some time). The drops happen quite close to player, but you have to be far enough the enemies can be spawn there without you seeing them

EDIT: What I think, some of the hard to reach places might be one time only. Not sure, as I cannot remember if I reached them multiple times in the same play through

i remember hearing about it from devs pre 2.0, they refresh indefinitely. i know for sure that they airdrop in the same spot sometimes so that just confirms it.
