Just need to know something About Phantom Liberty
i heard PL makes your romance partner and chooms hate you. so i decided not to buy PL. Story is important to me. so when I hear those endings about PL, well I am kinda sad and realize how much those relations mean to me. I know it's just a Game, but i can't help myself. (this is the first time for me, maybe I will get it over with in time)

1. Does the Phantom Liberty story start after the main story (sequel) or all of the endings are in the same timeline
2. if not, do I need to buy Phantom Liberty to get any future CP77 update

you don't have to answer it with spoiler just yes or no would be fine.

1. No it starts about mid way.
2. No there aren't any major updates planned anyway.

Yes. It's seamlessly added to the game essentially. After playing it now for months it almost feels like it's just part of the base game to me now.

1. No. After reaching the second act follow Judy's line of quests up to the point where you have settled affairs with the Voodoo Boys. You then get a call that unlocks access to PLs opening quest.

Alternatively you have an option in the main menu where you can skip the beginning of the game and start as a character that has already met the requirements to access PL.

2. Also no. No new content is planned. But nothing that has been changed about the base game content since PL was released actually requires you to own PL. No reason to think that would change.

stop over thinking it .... 2077 isn't complete without phantom liberty . with phantom liberty and 2.1 it finally feels like the game it was supposed to be . if you love the game , get the rest of it and quit over thinking it . just play the game . i'm working on finishing the game for the second time . the first time was without phantom liberty and the second time was with a totally opposite character in every way with phantom liberty in the game. it is a side story event in the middle of the game . and it is badass.

PL does not make any of the other NPC's "hate you", nor react negatively towards you afterwards.

Mild spoiler for one possible ending ahead.

That's not entirely true. In one ending you basically lose everyone and everything, completely. Panam actually seems to hate you. It's an incredibly sad and depressing ending that'll stick with you for a while. At least it did with me!
