In the main menu under 'Settings' there is a 'Video' tab. Select that and there should be an option to turn on VSync. I think it's the second option.

Give more details ?

Update your graphic driver and put back settings to default.

I guess you don't have a G sync monitor so you should just enable v sync in game settings.
You can enable Fast sync in Nvdia panel if you want.

Having a powerfull PC doesn't mean less issues (it's actually the opposite, the more complicated, the more issues...).

If you are using frame gen then try forcing vsync through the nvidia control panel and then setting the in game frame limiter to 3 fps below your monitor's refresh rate. For me that's a measly 57 fps but it's buttery smooth after doing that.

The reason you use the in game limiter is that it allows frame gen to compensate for dips in innate frame rate. If you set it via the control panel instead then it will always generate half your frames instead, at least that was how it was explained to me. You end up with bad frame times and it doesn't look good, so for sure use the in game one this time around.

OK I feel stupid right now I did this and it turns out that I didn’t click apply I feel like an idiot still I very much appreciate your detailed response and you have in fact helped me to solve my issue thank you and have a good day
if u have dlss on you cannot turn vysnc on in option that was my case :)
Turn off dlss and frame generation then it allow you to turn on Vsync

DLSS shoulden't disable Vsync.

Other features like Frame gen will disable Vsync, but not DLSS on it's own.

have the same issue... DLSS Q, FG, RT Ultra pulling 140-160fps but i want 120 to not be wasteful... FPS limit is checked and looks like it's working but MSI Afterburner shows otherwise..
kind of sucks pulling always 400+ Watts
just because FG disables the V-Sync

set max fps in game to 60. Then it'll be 60 in menus as framegen doesn't work in menus. It'll be up to 120fps in game as framegen works in rendered scenes. It puts in that fake frame so can potentially double fps.

You really don't have to use the in-game limiter if you enable v-sync via the nvidia driver because when you turn on FG, Reflex automatically caps your frame rate to the amount needed below your maximum frame rate to minimize latency.

Still, in-game fps caps when using FG should be HALF your desired amount because FG will literally double it.

What is happening is that you are running into the Reflex limiter anyways when you use the in-game limiter with anything more than HALF your desired amount; so you might as well ignore it, and just enable driver v-sync when using FG.

Several drivers back when we forced Vsync in control panel we had to set the limiter in game to 30fps. This fixed slide show we were having at Wraith camp and couple other spots. The only issue with the fix was menus were at 30fps so very sluggish as latency was horrid there. A few drivers later it was fixed thankfully.

Now if monitor refresh is 60 it's still best to use 60 as the limit. But setting of 30 isn't horrid in menus like it was. As for latency in rendered scenes setting to 60 or unlimted was the lowest latency. Setting of 30 did increase PC Latency a tiny bit though. But very very usable as well. You won't notice a difference i'm just looking at the numbers and mostly looking at PC Latency as gpu latency is only a part of it. And it's feel we're most concerned about which is PC Latency. A setting of 30, 60 or unlimited all felt the same to me. For me with 60hz refresh with framegen I set max framerate to 60 in game. With the next driver who knows what's best.

Here let me show you what i test at. Note my monitor is actually 59hz fyi. Benchmark results bottom right.

I tested in other areas like Dogtown etc etc. with same results. Also note that PC latency below 90ms is pretty darn good. 90ms sounds high but depends on the program and what it's checking. Would be horrible for a fps game vs other players no doubt where you want well below 40ms PC Latency as such below at 28ms.

Certainly not game breaking but decent results. Can't compare to those fps games that get 300+ fps.
