Your best bet though is to wait until the next Nvidia series of GPU's releases, there is likely going to be the announcement of the new series on September 1st. You're likely going to be spending at least 1 thousand dollars minimum or the equivalent in your country just for a GPU. Even with a top of the line GPU depending on the monitor resolution you might not be able to run the game at max settings on 3 monitors with 60 fps.
i have zero experience with multiple monitors , but all games support it? waht if cyberpunk dont support this kinda of resolution aspect ratio?
not a native speaker
edit: i think a HTC VIVE would give you way more immersion that 3 monitors and will have less "weight on the gpu" , IF cyberpunk supports vr oculuses
I was thinking 27" monitors, so 3 of those. Not sure what resolution that would be? - Do you have any suggestions for monitor brands and models?
Your point about waiting until September to see what the new cards are like makes some sense. 1k for the graphics card would be worth it, if it can make it work.
Thanks. I think they probably will support it, it is quite common for gamers, if they don't I will just have to leave 2 of them turned off when playing, but I can still use them for work so not all bad. I do remember reading that they were not going to support VR, but that was quite a while ago, so maybe that has changed.
On the other hand 32" 4k monitor is like 500 bucks on amazon and you can run 60 fps with a 20xx series gpu.
or just use a 40-60" 4 k tv and sit real close to it... idk
Thanks for your reply Hashay. If it is "immersive as hell" then I am in :) - I don't mind getting a good GPU if it makes it possible. My main issue is not knowing which make and model of both monitors and GPU to buy to make it all work. I am not used to getting into that level of technical detail about computers.
Hi samurai, I suppose if it turns out to be impossible to get 3 monitors working. I could order one larger one for the center and 2 smaller ones for the sides and then I can still use triple monitor for work, but just use the center one for gaming. I suppose in that case could get ultra wide and curved for the centre one? not sure if that would be the best setup - I would still like to explore the option of getting it working on all 3...
it is however extraordinairely expensive... like 3500$ for the 2080ti´s and about 400$ pr 4k monitor(32") so if you got about 4700~5000$..have at it!
Yep, cost is always a factor but you don't have to have the best of the best to do this....
What would be your preferred 48" monitor brand and model? - I would still like to use a triple monitor layout for work, if not for games... If I had one 48" in the middle and two 27" either side, would that work for general computer useage like web browsing, editing documents etc or will the different screen sizes make it difficult to use it like that?
Do you think it would be better than just having one big monitor in the centre for gaming?
So the middle one is now bigger than the ones on the side, does that still work well for playing games? I have heard some people suggesting the monitors need to be all the same size, but this sounds like perhaps not.
It's quite simple, all you have to do is connect 3 displayport cables from the GPU to each monitor, and then you should receive display on all three of them. Make sure your GPU has at least three ports, otherwise you aren't going to be able to connect to three monitors.
Try to have all three monitors be the same model and size, but you can work with different models if you want. My OCD wouldn't let me use different monitors in a setup :)
Another alternative is to buy a 32:9 monitor. They are essentially 2 1080p monitors without the bezel, and they're wide af. This is what I would personally buy.
