Advice for building a new gaming computer + triple monitor setup
I want to build a new gaming station that is optimised for playing Cyber Punk 2077. I will be using "Obutto Revolution" gaming cockpit, and want to have a triple monitor setup.

One thing I noticed from watching this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77GA3doJSO8

Is that it is possible to get gaming monitors so overpowered that having 3 of them together it is impossible to get a graphics card powerful enough to run them. I had not considered this as a potential issue, so I realise there is quite a lot I don't know, which is why I came here for some advice. I would be looking to run CyberPunk on max settings. My questions are:

What vesa mount monitor brand is going to be best for playing CyberPunk?
What graphics card is best for playing CyberPunk / would be able to run three of these monitors
What other parts should go into the PC to make this work?
Are there any good services you would recommend for getting a pre-built or custom build PC in Europe?

3 monitors means 3x render witch means min 2x gpu´s (2080´s most likely) and im not even sure how well that would work...
On the other hand 32" 4k monitor is like 500 bucks on amazon and you can run 60 fps with a 20xx series gpu.
or just use a 40-60" 4 k tv and sit real close to it... idk

you can not run games at max settings 4k 60fps on 20 series cards. espeicualy with Raytracing. and this game is going to support it. the only card that can more or less do this is the 2080ti. right now if you want 4k 60fps with all the eye candy. you're best waiting for the 30 series cards.
well there is one way to get 4k 60fps with raytracing enabled. Dual 2080Ti´s running in sli...
your wallet wont like you... but still.

To be more precise, your wallet will have a $3,000 hole burned into it from your GPUs ALONE, not including the cost of your monitors, and the rest of the rig.
today game even support SLI ?

I know, its stupid im right there with you...if you read my first post, my advice was one big monitor..
just said i think it was possible... Stupid & expensive . but possible

Not stupid at all, man - it’s just a matter of what your disposable income is. If my last name was Rothschild, I’d have a dozen PCs worth about 12k each minimum, lmao.
Why 3 monitors when you can just buy a super ultra wide setup with seamless edges. You can find one for around $750-1500 or wait for the black friday deals.
You'll want to run 1080p for ideal fps across all three monitors especially when we don't know how power hungry cyberpunk will be on hardware at first.
Like some people said, you are better off with a 32:9 monitor.
If you REALLY want to use a triple monitor setup you will need to run at lower resolutions or lower settings until a good enough graphics card is available. Tbh It isn't the end of the world if you need to run at a lower resolution when using all the monitors.

About UW support, we can't really be sure but i bet there will be mods to fix the issue if it isn't supported.
You will not be playing on that setup with RTX on, regardless of resolution :)

While those setups are awesome for sims i find them quite immersion breaking for FPS games. Personally i use ultrawide for all my needs, from Euro Truck Simulator to Deus Ex or Age Of Wonders Planetfall.
I would probably do 3 solid mid range 1080p monitors unless you have like 10k$+ to spend on the system. Going with 1440p monitors will likely be you needing to gimp most modern games by at least 60%. 4k is 100% not viable unless you have 10s of thousands to play with for an ultra custom GPU set up/bios/graphic driver to get it to work properly with likely 3-4 gpus.
I don't like bezels on triple monitor setups, why not go for a big curved screen? I don't know tech details just saying preferences, personally I'll use a tv for this game instead of my monitor

I’m no expert either, but I’m fairly certain that HI-Def TVs use some sort of special technology to artificially enchance the image you see on the screen while gaming, which apparently causes some minor input lag or... idk, I recall seeing somewhere that it’s bad for competitive gaming.

Single player games, obviously, aren’t much of a thing to worry about with that issue. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can elaborate.

Random idea:
There are some 180° Monitors on the market with flexible OleDs. If you are not sure what i mean go into your local electronics market stores, many big ones have them on display to try them out hands on.

180° Monitors need much less beefy graphics cards to run. So your initial problem with graph card too weak would be solved and you still get a better experience than default 16:9 27 inch desk monitors....

Maybe ditch the clunky oboto idea and get one of those 180° monitors? Idk what resolution they run on and, if they are possible to configure in a 3 monitor (center, right mirror, left mirror) setup for racing / flyight sims. But it might be worth a look?

Just use search engine to find various models / manufacturers.
Also i bet there are alot of tech websites, where you can drag&drop and virtually test your custom built PC setup. I.e. what CPU works well with what brand RAM + what motherboard do i need for Z type of graphics card etc etc.

Good luck of building :meaty:

ah thanks I get what you mean there is this weird feeling in tvs while playing multiplayer games but I didn't know it was some artificial thing like you said so thats the reason.
