Cyberpunk 2, should it be first person or third person?
I heard rumors that CDProjectRed is currently making a Cyberpunk sequel or prequel but wasnt sure if its going to be first or third person. My first game from Red was Cyberpunk and I like the first person aspects of the game, but some older fans wanted it to be third person. Personally I'd want a first person game but with the option for a third person view, kinda like Bethesda's Fallout and elderscroll games.

But Im curious what is everyone else's opinion on the matter

First but you should be able to see your character in the reflections

both? i like it first person more because if you switch sights, on motorcycle for example, it looses details if you zoom out. the graphics is getting better, i hope.

Very much this. Also more situations where you look at yourself through cameras.

Sure, when the game wasn't released yet, A lot of people including myself thought that Cyberpunk would be nice in third person. But now that we have reached this point and everyone has been enjoying the game in first person, The game has established itself as a First Person Shooter, and changing this to Third Person for the next game would be a big change, One that a lot of people would not agree with. So I think now that Cyberpunk is working the way it is, and people are enjoying it the way it is. It's better to keep The First Person Perspective for the next games as well. Because a large portion of it's fan base are already accustomed to it's First Person view.

But, In my opinion they can add Third Person Cutscenes for the next Cyberpunk games. Just the way they wanted to add it to Cyberpunk 2077. It would feel good to see our characters more often in the game and not just in mirrors.

They aren't. Witcher 4 is the next title.

I would say have both - FPS just works for the title, however I feel like there was an intention to allow both for non-chaotic gameplay like just meandering around town.

As one said - there are no reflections; hell, the mirrors need to be turned on. So your character is only partially rendering (as you can look down and see yourself); however then driving allows both? Granted driving is quite different in both, so you know it was added vs just happened - so seems like an odd line in the sand.

Additionally - any game that lets you spend more than 2 minutes making a toon should let you see them I feel (even just cut-scenes is fine - but here those are first person too). Though - allowing one to customize genitalia you basically will never see also makes me think they just never got around to everything or where unsure where to land fully by the time the game released.

May not use it much - but I would flip between them. Was just looking for a mod to enable 3rd person in this yesterday after starting to get back into it because I got a neat vibe going on my outfit I gotta basically pause to see xD

Either is fine by me, though I prefer 1st person. Both is be better imo, but 1st if I had to choose.

Combat: 1st Person
Walkin' around: Optional 1st or 3rd Person
No reason whatsoever: 2nd Person [Good luck with that.]

I want them to stick to the interaction style of this game, so 100% first person. The scenes just wont play out the same in 3rd person.

first

I hope it does both. I would enjoy this game so much more if it had both. One thing I've always loved about Bethesda games the option for both.

With the emphasis that CP2077 puts on character customization and clothes, the fact you can't go into 3rd person is just plain dumb and it has hampered my enjoyment of the game since day one. Even still I would play the game in 1st person most of the time, especially in combat, but 3rd person view for exploration and walking around is what I prefer. This is exactly how I play Bethesda RPGs.

First person 100%, the immersion is needed for the artistic value of the storytelling-perspectives and all.

I would like it to be like the Fallout games optional toggle. First person is just not immersive to me. I need to see my character in the world being interactive with it.

First person. Its like one of core characteristics of Cyberpunk for me which makes it different from Witcher.
