Stuck walking as slow as a snail

Ever since I did the last qualifying race with Claire, I am stuck walking at a snails pace. I also can't sprint. I tried turning off my mods, restarted the game, went back to a save before I did the mission, everything. I am not over encumbered.

This is making the game almost unplayable for me.

I have also tried pressing G numerous times. It doesn't do anything.

I also just tried loading an old save and I'm stuck walking slow there too.

If it is in your old saves too, then it has something to do with the game files. You could always delete the game and do a clean install without mods. Mods are cool, but they also have a habit of breaking games in unforseen ways.

I had this during the escape from dogtown stadium quest. Game thought I had an HMG equipped. Nothing fixed it until I picked up another HMG and dropped it.

Another poster mentioned being stuck on some setting and taking the metro fixed it. You might want to try that.

You’ve just become one of those npcs that slow walks all hunched over down the street. Deal with it.

An additional POSSIBLE fix is grabbing a body then dropping it.

I realized my issue last night. Some how with my WeMod app I turned the walk speed down to like .02 speed. I finally ended up turning it off and everything was fine. Reached out to WeMod and they pointed that out. Thank you so much for all the response though!

Should probably mention mods your using in the future or at least that you are running modded ;)

That's because the key to drop the body, and the key to toggle walking; are one and the same... You don't actually need to pick the body up, you can just press the key.
