The Self-Ice Cyberware kills the first attempt, I believe. And I'm not sure if it is just a natural thing or a result of the Kiroshi Stalker Optics, but when someone starts trying to hack V, I can see a danger warning and their outline in gold, so I can deal with them pretty quickly (since my quickhacks go through faster than theirs)...
I can prevent it completely by dropping Memory Wipe on a target before any other quickhacks, but it is insanely expensive to use, and I typically find using Contagion as my first attack will incapacite even enemies I'm not aware of before they think to look for me.
Using sonic not for combos, but to cast it 2-3 times on 2-3 people for the default purpose of deafening people so I can blow the brains out of their friend who is also now deaf and not allowed to call for help. which is still cheaper than popular "combos"
Spamming (better than common) bait to lure people to my pile of strangled corpses.
no sarcasm, play dumber. meet the game's childish tantrums on their level. This is a game where even PING will aggro enemies because of scripting. Got a reminder of that replaying the plot as voodo idiot screams in my ear "Scan sasquatch do it!" and oh right ping instantly aggros her, fueling her with the power of a thousand ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ saying how lore friendly it is she gets to cheat.
Not that it did her any good.
For more "sounds like a joke but is actually serious" advice. The Memory boost "Ram on kills" is probably one of the most important netrunner cybernetics.
One overlooked in the past by some when more slow paced 'hack everyone to death' was more doable, but still top of the line for speeding up the pace of chaining prank hacks into kills in stealth. And a LOT more impressive when you are chewing through trash in scripted group combat to take the edge off increased ram costs for higher rank versions of hacks.
Don't forget the smartgun implant (non tattoo) gives 1-2 ram too, even if you ignore smartguns that is some of the cheapest cyber cost per ram you can get.
Maybe it requiers takedown by hands, didn't test it that way yet
This. It says in the description text that anything following Memory wipe in the queue won't be traced.
Sonic Shock is also still bugged I believe, and that hack is supposed to be untraceable, and prevent them from calling for help throughout its duration.
Personally I load up contagion, then memory wipe which reduces the ram cost of system shutdown, which I use on enemies that contagion didn't reach. Usually keeps me in stealth long enough to wipe the group with just hacks.
Stealth Net Runner isn't really my playstyle though, so if I go into combat, I lay them out with either my katana or smart gun.
