Of course now I have permanent fluid 60 fps but what happens if I don't use Vsync.
Will the mod still work and boost the fps ?

Usually I have around 80 - 90 fps but.....many times in variosu areas I have horrible drops down to 25 FPS.....

I have an RTX 3080 (rtx on but not all options).

Yes. This version of FSR3FG works with VRR (FreeSync/G-Sync). If you haven't VRR display, you can use frame limiter / V-Sync.

A mod was uploaded today at nexusmods called DLSS-G Frame Generation replace to FSR3 Frame Generation [www.nexusmods.com] it's the mod authors first mod there

it's the same mod

Only issues I have so far ("bugs" are to be expected) -

Bad:
Weird screen tearing behavior even with VSync on.
Terrible input latency with VSync on - much more than usual (none when vsync is off).
With VSync off (no VRR) the tearing and frame-timing/pacing is all over the place.
Markers on screen "stutter" when moving around.

Good:
Boosts FPS (A christmas miracle)

the nexusmods guy did clearly state that he did not make the mod and included the github link

There is a fix i've posted about nvidia Framegen. I just tried it with this and it works.

Set Vsync to On via control panel. not fast not adaptive. And not in game.
Set in game framerate limiter to 1/2 refresh rate. This fixes the choppiness and Min fps issues. If refresh is 60hz set it to 30fps cap. Do NOT use framelimiter in control panel or rtss it must be the ingame one.

You gsync users sorry don't have one so no idea here. Note that there is a trade off. Frametime will be double in menus and feel sluggish. So 60hz vsync will be 33ms in menus. But in game it will be 16.5ms and should feel butter smooth.

I'd like to see people chime in with what vid card they using. Just to make sure thius isn't fake. I have 4080 so i can't verify really as i can already do framegen. I want to see more listing from the 2xxx and 3xxx crowd. Using Win10 64bit in case that's also a factor.

My cpu/mobo/ddr3 is almost 13 years old. So only pci express 2.0 and nvme shares lanes with vid card. I also don't have Rebar.

RTX2070 but not getting a super smooth experience. The fps is good for sure, but I swear it sometimes feels like 30 fps, even though it says 90. Very hard to describe/explain. Does vsync really need to be on in Nvidia settings?

If you don't want screen tearing sure. So here's the results as i described before using vsync 60hz. Note the minimum fps and that only setting the in game framerate limiter to 1/2 refresh shows excellent results. 2560x1440 Vsync@60hz Ultra settings, DLSS Quality, Ray Tracing Ultra, Win10 64bit, Fullscren Optimizations Disabled, AMD Framegen

Some do have good results using the rtss frame limiter. But you use your refresh rate and not 1/2. I've never had good results doing so. But if you know how give it a try.

I didn't include it in the guide for no reason lol, it's supposed to remove/minimize micro-stutters

It doesn't actually. Only if you do as i do. Course if more tried my method we'd really know. Give it a try Deveers. I typically test at the wraith camp right and south on map. Just turn left or right or strafe. It's dang choppy. But the benchmark is very revealing as well. It's very choppy and results speak for themselves.

For me it did, atleast in TW3. I'll try your method on my 3050 laptop when I get back home

I dunno if it's my brain or my GPU that is wired backwards, but it feels infinitely smoother with it turned back off.

Still, I thank you for this. Truly a christmas miracle with all this framerate and raytracing enabled.

Wow thats so f-cking weird, but yea it does work! Thanks, 60fps doesnt feel like I'm having an aneurysm anymore

Theres still some weirdness with some models/2d elements "jittering", but its at least mostly smooth now. Too bad you cant use RTSS or NCP to lock the framerate though to get perfect frametimes.

It's strange that every game i've played that had framegen performed differently. Had to use different methods. I haven't tried TW3 yet. This is cp2077 forum so only testing that atm. It's also possible WIn10 results can be different than Win11
