I use a keyboard but i changed the controller settings as well just in case
1st person
response curve=raw
all bonuses set to 0
3rd person
response curve=raw
The 1st 3 is what really did it for me. I can drive 150mph in the streets downtown now. I actually prefer cars now vs the motorcycle. I hated driving cars before i made these changes. So out of control it was insane. I drive 1st person now and before which is a bit harder then 3rd person i think.
There's a mod that is supposed to help this but I can't get it to work.
Hey my first game crash. Was testing a bunch of video settings.
Solution to the problem.
I drive only in first person and it's great. Rn having so much fun with Maimai, going sideways and bouncing around like a football.
A few cars are slightly less trash, like the Javalina where you only cartoon oversteer 10% of the time and can actually pull out of a parking spot at speed or take a street corner at 60+ and touch tap the keyboard to maneuver between a minivan and an unmarked on the minimap cop car hoping you slam into them. (I know fan fave Coyote was decent, but I have deep rooted "But the Jav can handle city cornering/civilian dodging when I can't sleep better" feelings from launch)
Then right as I am thinking "Maybe I was overreacting and unfair to 2077-" I try another car and most of the time even a slower car might as well be driving on banana peels.
The new free to loot "Hoon" car which is basically a Javalina clone complete with the new machineguns feels pretty okay too... Honestly I get the feeling the Quadra 66 line in general was popular for a reason.
See also, getting excited about vehicle hacks "Aw man those 'drag on for an extra minute or two' car chase missions are going to stop being miserable on replays now that I can just hack their emergency brakes-of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ course they are immune..."
