any way to permanently disable on foot radio?

i know how to turn it off, but every time i get in a car and get out again it's back on.

i would like to have it back to how it was where radio is only on in the car. it's a pain in the to have to keep switching it off. especially if i'm in the middle of combat.

It automatically mutes when in combat, the radio and combat music are completely separate but to the music switching back on when entering a vehicle? i think the vehicles have it on by default.

Sadly, no. I'm no fan of it either.

Turn it's volume all the way down. The dang thing keeps turning on when you get out of a new vehicle from retrieval kelp mission. So I just set it's volume to zero. & hit the off button when ever I see the dang thing playing.
--- I like listening to audio books while I drive around in the game, So I turned the music off/down, & the radio/car radio all the way down. It still turns itself back on every time I swap vehicles. Turning the volume down seems to be the only way.

i couldn't find any yet. at least any that work with redmod.

heck i actually had to uninstall the couple i was using because the game wouldn't start with them after 2.1 update. guess i can update this post if i ever come across one.

Improved radio has an option to disable the automatic activation of the pocket radio when leaving the car. Uses Redscript and CET.

I couldn't get that to work at all. I suspect it has something to do with my custom keybindings, so if you're using modified binds cross your fingers I guess.
