Anyone else annoyed by the Gacha-style Cyberware upgrades?
Like I have to spend my money and components to pick from one of three upgrades with completely random attribute boosts. If it were fixed like it used to be, there would be no cause for complaint, and if we could pick the attributes then it would be even better... but the upgrades are completely randomised, and if I get bad RNG then all three of the paths are kinda.... bad... and I'm stuck with whichever is least bad.

I totally agreed. I played from very early like 1.04 version. Back then there are mod slots in clothing and mod slots on guns. We can have damage concentrated mods or something else. So free. Now it's like we get tied up by the MAX RAM capacity of Cyberware and have to hope for good attribute comes out or I have to buy another component and hope for the best.

Bitter sweet is that it's not as hard to earn eddies as it used to be. Just keep killing stuff and sell weapons.

The upside is that by level 60 lots of builds don't actually need specific stat boosts to achieve god mode so you can settle for less to save time.

The downside is that armor is for ranged attacks so you are going to want melee defense % if you don't like getting 3 shot in close combat, and niche builds that actually want the extra damage are going to eat up your game time with ripperdoc chores.

The worst part is how hypcritical a lot of people get about that too.

"Excuse me! It is realistic AND lore friendly that melee would ignore the fact you have anti tank rifle resistance skin and also kidneys! Your BRAIN isn't armored so there!"
"Great! So my melee will ignore enemy borg armor hard enough to three shot a skull/named enemy by hitting them in the head with melee too, right? You know, for the lore and realism"
"Uh.... you see... Melee is already overpowered and-"
