Worth buying?

Been eyeing this game ever since it launched. I know back then there was a lot of problems and wondering if things got fixed? I don't mind waiting so wondering should I buy it now or wait a bit longer?

Well they broke even more things (and left other things unfixed) with the last update it seems, but the game is definitely worth the sale price discount if you are willing to set your expectations to "Janky as hell MMO builds experience" and buckle up for more defensive fans screaming "The DLC is NOT pay2win!... so anyways you wouldn't be dying if you had the DLC only upgrades therefore game too ez"

So this is the perfect time to buy it, flaws and all, because big sale on the whole package. Otherwise, you might be waiting for it to be 'worth buying' until mid 2024. If you were interested enough to ever buy it, then it is worth the 'on sale now then put it on a shelf waiting for some fixes/mod updates' (I still stubbornly play unmodded. that may change)

Hopefully your wallet is not chased off by people making the game look and sound even worse in their rush to defend jank by bragging about some bug or poorly implemented "decent idea, bad implementation" feature slowing things down "Is actually great"

It's a good game and has a lot dialogue and alternative endings, the hacks and cyberware are great and the weapons are mediocre, there's a couple of weapons during missions that are good, the Malorian Arms 3516 pistol is awesome

the erebus weapon from phantom liberty dlc is one of my favourites


My game has only ever crashed because of cheats used wrong during game play

Your game shouldn't crash if you have enough ram and a good video card with drivers up to date and you installed mods properly if you use them

rule of thumb after each CD Projekt RED update re-install the game new and then mods new again and your game should run properly

Still bugs but in my current playthrough had nothing game breaking or that’s made me curse game out loud lol

As I tried to play it back in 2020 now its day/night difference. Bought Ultimate edition for 50€ and cant stop playin. Go for it! Gta 6 is still very far...

Two years ago I was intrigued, but felt my PC as not ready (Not enough SSD and a 2060 plus GPU). So Cyberpunk went on my wish list. Recently, I purchased a new PC (RTX4090 GPU and sufficient M2 SSD) to play Starfield, and then CP went on sale. YES, absolutely worth it. So much to see and do. Just walking around Night City is an adventure without any particular task. SF feels like a boring place compared to CP. Encouraged to play GTA5 and Metros I have missed.
