Primarily though it is for immersion. Having a place to call home in such a vast city feels nice and cozy ^^
I for my self go to one of my apprtments every single day. I start my games there, I end them there.
I sleep there (gives a nice buff). I shower there (gives a nice buff). I drink my coffee there (gives a nice buff).
I maintain and sort my equippment (my stash is there).
I craft there .
I hang out there, listen to music, plan my next steps, and nowadays I chill with Panam.
Having a home, a place to rest, is imho crucial for the immersion.
So it works like Well Rested in Fallout? Missed that entirely, not that the game doesn't throw points at me plenty fast.
