Did 2.1 completely destroy netrunner builds???
With 2.0 update, Netrunner build was nerfed, with 100% of time trace starting after the first quickhack, and you'll have to kill ALL enemies in the area, otherwise you go into combat mode... But it was still possible to play stealthy netrunner by using Sonic Shock before any other quickhacks, which would prevent trace start.

With 2.1, that trick (using Sonic Shock) no longer seems to work. So, if you're going for 100% netrunner build - seems like that's no longer a good option.

Unless I miss something and there is now another trick to prevent the trace???

Looks like Memory Wipe might play a similar role... But its RAM requirements and time it takes to upload are INSANE, to the point of being useless :(

there are perks that slow down the trace. Currently doing a play thru with a netrunner build and it is doing well ( level 60 with a netrunning ability of 60 ) . Yes, you are not a death machine on legs clearing gigs without ever being seen. But it is still a viable build.

I don't have an issue with my Net Runner build. I can usually murder everything before my location is traced. Read the different perks and maximize trace time reduction if its a problem for you.

I just started liking the game with my Netrunner, now I can't (won't) play it until (if) they fix it. Frustrating! Oh well, off to Balder's Gate 3 then.

I hate how they're trying to force you into combat now. It forces you to make a build for direct combat instead of going full netrunner like before.
Hmmmm..... Netrunning 60 check, int 20 check, Overclock check, ultimate Contagion+Ultimate Overheat Combo check.... don`t know what`s the problem with stealth net running :winter2019coolyul:

I have done a few front line netrunners and they're still pretty powerful. The only gripe I have is that netrunners are very perk point intensive.

Sonic Shock is currently not working, CDPR are aware and are working on a fix (Shout out to CrimsonRider, BTW).

You can use a tier 4 Memory Wipe -which does still work as intended - in place (at higher RAM cost) of Sonic Shock, or you can install redscript and this mod:

Edit: Netrunner level 60 progression perk is still broken, despite being labeled as fixed in patch notes.

Rre 2.0 Netrunner was god amongst men.
Post 2.0 Is more like sneaky prankster among enemies that can kill you in moments notice.

And quite frankly, that's for the best.

i support nerf to netrunner but police shooting at me immediately after i hacked a car to move forward is kinda too much.

how would regular police officer even know it was me? its not about normal, its about logic. i hack car -> random cop already know its me without any tracing or such

No one is wondering why Sonic shock is way cheaper than Memory Wipe Tier 4...
my netrunner build has always consisted of dotting groups with contagion and chilling in my car 200m away while they choke to death. that is still working perfectly fine in 2.1. can't comment on the other quickhacks though
