2.1 Dualsense No Haptic Feedback
Disabling steam input for the game, using a cable, means dualsense is recognised and adaptive triggers work fine (for me).

But I'm getting no vibration/haptic feedback at all.

  • Tried setting playstation controller support in steam setting to "Not Enabled"
  • Tried tinkering with dualsense sound settings, enabling/disabling dualsense speakers, increasing controller volume etc
  • Tried using/not using big picture mode
  • Tried running the .exe outside steam

All dualsense features work fine with other steam games e.g. Jedi Survivor and its odd only haptic feedback is missing for me. I assume it must be to do with sound settings if only haptic feedback doesnt work?

Seen others commenting having the same issue. Anyone find a solution?

Same issue! I was delighted to see DualSense support listed as a feature of 2.1, but have found no way to get it to behave as anything other than a generic controller.

Tried some other things, disabling steam overlay, controller firmware update etc, no help but I think I've worked what was happening for me at least. I had a vjoy driver enabled (downloaded vjoy when I was using a controller with another steam game). I disabled vjoy driver in device manager and I got haptic feedback as well as triggers.

Yes initially the game was working well with all the haptic feedback for me. Now all of sudden it stopped working. I didn't change ♥♥♥♥.. wtf CDProjectRED

EDIT: Okay, I got it working again. So listen chooms this is how it worked for me.
1. Connect your dualsense controller (wired only).
2. Check whether the controller sound is allowed through window settings.
3. Check whether Steam input is disabled as well as playstation controller support too.
4. Test your game.
5. If it doesn't reset your controller settings to default and try again. Or else allow sound from controller in gameplay settings.

This how I did it, and I get haptic feedback on phone, upgrading perks, aim/shoot etc.

When I open Cyberpunk with steam input disabled completely, the launcher doesn't even recognize my WIRED PS5 controller. Please help

When you connect the controller, open steam and check for controller setting, do you see dualsense as the connected controller? If you do, that means your controller is detected, if not restart your pc n check again. (P.S: wired mode only)

Hi,

Anyone having issue with the menu haptick feedback not working? All other vibrations work including triggers but the haptic feedback in menus is not working as it does with the Xbox controller

No, I didn't notice any haptic feedback in the menus, maybe it's not implemented.

Can you elaborate on step 2? I don’t know what setting you mean and I can’t seem to get it to work. What’s it supposed to feel like in game?

Check your windows sound settings for dualsense controller, usually it is set to don't allow, turn it to allow.

I did this and no luck. I have steam input disabled too.

I’ve discovered that I’ll get haptic feedback if I set my audio output to my controller… but then all sound comes out of the controller speaker
darkosis Dec 21, 2023 @ 5:23am
Set sound to your headphones/speaker and in the game setting, there is an option to switch on audio for controller, try turning that on. It does work for me tho, there must be something you are missing

So I think I am getting haptic feedback but very very VERY faintly. Is there a way to increase it?
darkosis Dec 21, 2023 @ 6:30am
that's about it, you can also try this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/4156

didn't try myself but its been reccommended
Corrupted Slime Dec 21, 2023 @ 10:51am
Audio tinkering is on poing cuz the haptic comes from audio channel but that is only wired ("thanks" SONY).

I was under impression they didn't port haptic feedback from the PS5 game version, similarly to TheWitcher3. Does Cyberpunk really have haptics on PC ?
