Way to stop radio from playing while I am walking around?

So since 2.1 the game keeps just turning the dumb radio on on me wherever I am. Get out of a car is stays on. Finish a quest it just starts up even if I was not listing to it. Really annoying as this is not a feature I was looking for.

And here I can't make it work properly lol, when I exit the car, it shows that it's playing but I hear nothing, volume is up, I'm using no mods or anything.

When off it will spontaneously turn on at different times? Think pocket radio works with car radio. So if you have it off then go into a vehicle it will turn the pocket radio back on.
It will also turn itself off at certain times when in hostile areas. Then when out of that area will turn on again. Devs talked abut it a bit how it would work. If you have pocket radio off it should stay off. If still turns on then likely a bug they will need to sort out. Haven't tested enough to know personal.

by default it's on the "Z" key for me while on foot to disable it. But I think it always turns back on once you enter a vehicle and the radio is on.

Sadly there is no way to disable it permanently atm. Hopefully the devs learned from this mistake and lets us choose in the future, or a mod will come to our rescue.

You can simply set the radio volume to zero. Thats now in the same menu as chosing the station.

They should make independent the radio station and the car radio. I like the music in the car but outside the car I like to hear the sounds of the city. You can turn off the radio station, when you enter the car the radio is turned on automatically again, but when you get out the car the radio continue playing, that's the problem. Having tu turn off the radio everytime I get out the car is a bit annoying.

Everytime you step outside of the car it autoplays, annoying. Because they connected both radios, so it keeps thinking that your car radio = your personal radio.

I'm still working out how to start the Radio while walking around, i can see i have to press "R" as that it the binding i set and i can see by the animation that it's playing something but i have no audio from the radio at all... but it's working while in/on a vehicle.

Same for me, works in/on vehicles but not on foot.

Making the radio keep playing when exiting a vehicle ONLY if radio port was already playing when entering it seems like the obvious solution here. Here's hoping for a mod.. ;)

Yes, this is exactly my issue. I love the music but It's very obnoxious that it keeps turning itself on when using vehicles.
