PS5 controller freezing up game

Today some mods got updated so I downloaded the updates and I finally got the chance to play on 2.1. But when I plug in my PS5 controller to drive with, my game freezes like crazy and it stops and goes back to normal when I unplug it. I saw someone say online that there's a fix? If so can someone help? Thank you!

My man, had the same problem this morning, if yours is like mine, when it freezes it's bug the sound a little bit before freezes? if it's like that, go to sound settings, and disable the dualsense wirerless control as an audiot possibility, there is an option right when you enter the proprieties.

Wow, other thing, at least for me, after patch the haptic feedback on vehicles acceleration is working, amazing.

Did you find a fix? I just finished updating my mods. I opened the game and started driving without issues using keyboard, but the moment I plugged my controller it started freezing.

It does work amazing! So far I haven’t had any more issues. In the beginning yes it froze like that and the audio would mess up.

So I’m not sure if this is what fixed it for me or not but I set my settings to default and saved, got off the game, plugged my controller in, turned my pc off, turned it back on, went to steam and verified files, then launched the game, changed the settings back to my ultra RT preset, got off the game one last time, and relaunched. I know it’s a lot to do but my controller started working after that.

This is seemingly old but I was having the same issue and for me what fixed it was disabling DS4Windows. If you are not even using that then I don’t know. But hope this helps someone.
