How to permanently disable the radio when exiting vehicles?

After the recent update I have to disable the radio every single time I exit a vehicle and it's driving me nuts!
I tried to locate a setting that would disbale the radio from continuing to play after the vehicle exit but there is none. Or am I missing it somehow?

I do not think there is an option am afraid, but definitely does seem like a logical thing to implement.

Though I personally just shut it off before leaving the vehicle. Kinda gives me an immersion boost as if I'm turning off the car before exiting :D

You need to bind a key in the menu for radio outside the vehicle.

Oh, no that key is already bound. I just want to it stop playing automatically when I exit the vehicle so I don't have to do it manually every time. A toggle option in the game menu would be nice.

Having to the radio keep playing when exiting a vehicle only if it was already playing when entering it seems like the obvious fix here. I enjoy the radio playing in vehicles but HATE it continuing so will have to set radio volume to 0 until there's a mod for this.

Is it really that much of a bother to tap z (default keybinding) when exiting a vehicle?

Just an extra annoyance each time you do. And then it randomly turns back on anyway heh

I just make sure the radio is off when exiting the car

Although I got a weird bug when the game music refused to stop

Okay turns out it doesn't randomly turn on, it turns back on when I press Z to read a shard, good keybindings

Yea, I hate it IRL when I forget to turn the radio off and 102.1 follows me outside my car into my house or an appointment. Really grinds my gears.

I got used to pressing Z after leaving vehicle so much, it's almost instinct...

My game does this...there's a settings menu selection.
Settings --> Gameplay --> Sync to Vehicle Radio --> Off.
