Unique finisher animations don't play now
After 2.1, I only ever get the slo-mo finisher animations. Can't get the gory ones to happen anymore. Not using any mods and clean reinstalled the game to make sure my old mods wouldn't interfere with my game. Anyone else lose their finishers?

yep i can confirm that the unique gorilla arm finishers are not playing, im only getting the slo mo punch. that sucks.

Damn, that's a bummer. Hope they patch it back quickly, using gorilla arms don't feel the same when you can't turn a guy's head into mush :(

yeah there has to be some sort of hotfix cooking up, melee finishers aren't working. i was taking a look at the forums and was able to reproduce a bug that removes your blood pump cyberware completely from using consumables.

what a mess. i draw the line at melee finishers, how can you flub up something this bad?

honestly not sure. I mean I'm grateful for the stuff they added but at the same time how did any of that stuff screw the melee finishers. Literally my fav feature and the only bug that would make me take a break from 2077 until they patch it lol.

There are like a million things in this game to test. And it's a lot easier than you think to miss these small things during testing when you do major feature additions and rebalancing passes as they did in this patch.

Yeah that's fair. Wonder what change bugged it out, it's always the little changes that ♥♥♥♥ code sideways lol

Best guess, they tried to fix an issue or added function that was also tied to finishers and broke that. It's easy to miss this thing in particular as testers probably not actively retesting finisher animations specifically.
There was mention of them improving responsiveness on movement in patch notes. So it may have been related to that. Always the risk whenever you try to add any functionality, that you can also end up breaking something completely different. Add to that the insane scale of this game.. and it's near impossible to find every single bug before a release.
They will hopefully fix this in a hotfix soonish.

Also the inspect weapon animation when you double click on the equip/holster key to play the "first time" animation is not working anymore after few minutes
