Cyberpunk 2077

Worth playing in 2024?
Bought it on release. Hated it for all of the obvious reasons and got rid after 1 day, and never looked back. I heard it's considerably better now, though why and to what extent I'm unsure of.

Does the city feel more alive now than it did on release? To me it just seemed so... dead. Not enough NPC's or vehicles roaming around. And the NPC's that did were often glitchy and buddy which killed immersion.

I'm guessing bugs still exist in the game, which is understandable in an open world game. But I'm guessing they are much less than they were a couple of years or so back?

I am playing without mods, and it’s a much better game without them. Mods are for the same people who like to overclock every component in their pc, because it makes them think it’s better or faster and then complain about having nothing but issues all the time.
I don’t use mods in the games I play and I don’t overclock anything in my pc, so I don’t have any issues with the games I play or with my pc.

For me its been worth playing since day 1 ..through all the changes, The only way you're going to know if its for you is to try it yourself!

Have done now! I don't love it, but it's certainly much better than it once was so fair play to the devs for at least putting a mistake right.

Pfft, I've used mods for years on this game, and have never once overclocked my PC, nor complained about any mod related issues.

Sure, but I bet you have mods that conflicted with each other.

Whether I do or don't doesn't matter. I don't complain about it, and simply look for fixes if I ever run into any issues, which I haven't. I believe that you are assuming that every single person who mods their game is default having issues, which isn't the case.

If anything, most issues are easily fixed via updating the foundation mods; at least with this game. This isn't Skyrim.

edit:
P.S, I'm not the one giving the award, just in case you're wondering.

Nothing fixes the trash story.....Or dead world - So pick your poison cause those are at the foundation of the game and the mods can't really fix that. I will say Phantom Liberty's story seems like WAY MORE thought/care went into it .

This was a great game back when it released, and it’s still a great game now. It’s better than most games that came out in 2023 that’s for sure, and as of 2024 so far there really isn’t anything yet so Cyberpunk is the best game this year for now.

Agreed. I thought I'd be playing Starfield right now, and here I am stuck in Dog Town. Just when you think you're out, they pull you right back in.
