How long has the roller coaster been fixable?

Six full play throughs pre 2.0 and still on my first full play through post 2.0, and just now, today, I'm finding out you can fix and ride the roller coaster???

Has this always been a thing and how did I not know???😕😳😳

the coaster fix mission eventually goes away the more story mission you do, so be sure to do it after prologue act 2 and Jackie's funeral

It's always been there. Just a lovely little thing hidden away. I THINK I'm right in saying that it's possible to fix it without the mission being available, but may be misrembering.

It was a lot more difficult to do but now you just need to fix one thing, then ride it.

First time I did it was 1.6 and remember it being more things you had to do.

It is always available for repair regardless of your story progress. The mission for it disappears after "Double life", but you can still go repair and ride it.

It is always available for repair regardless of your story progress. The mission for it disappears after "Double life", but you can still go repair and ride it.

Lol It's "little" stuff like this that always makes me wonder what else I have missed after all this time😢

I Love Rollercoster does have a mission marker now, there was a time it didn't ..might be why you missed it.

it shows a yellow one and I went to far into the game one playthrough and missed it and the yellow marker vanished

The quest marker vanishes if you do Judy's questline. Seems like a bug, makes no sense otherwise.

Yeah, to do the mission you need to do it before completing Judy's questline. The rollercoaster is still fixable afterwards, there's just no quest marker leading you there.

Yes, it was a small fun interaction with a group of NPCs.

Apparently there's a quasi follow up to it now post Phantom Liberty update that involves running into one of the NPCs associated with it later on and they give V some information regarding the VDB's and a questline from P.L, but I'm yet to encounter it as I didn't do the rollercoaster mission before it disappeared this playthrough

Yeah, I did that quest back in 1.0. With a quest marker.

Didn't know about it disappearing post-Judy, though. That'd explain why I didn't see it on my current playthrough.

It's not a bug. It disappears because you then have to go to the GIM to progress the main story. The people you meet there are VDB's.

You can WHAT?! I'm over 200 hours in and i always thought this was something they cut from the game before release and was only seen in the trailers wtf

Lol - it's like V's former "private freeway" (it got incorporated into the highway system in 2.1), where it seems only a few people ever discovered it. I thought most players were using it, too!

Yeah, the rollercoaster has been there since the game's release. Everyone should take a ride on it with Johnny once!
