Will i have to restart the game if i buy the DLC ?

I have base game played like 30 hours i am kinda at start of game since i did alot of exploring and side quest little main quest go to diner to talk to that dude .
is it better to just start game over . will my old save even work ? or will new dlc will mess up my save ?

Unless your save is older then the 2.0 update you should be fine continuing with that save. If it's older you can still play but I would recommend hitting a ripperdoc ASAP and doing more side stuff to upgrade your cyberware.

You just have the option to start a new game at the beginning of the DLC. I recommend not using this option unless you have played through the game multiple times.

i guess i will start a new game since last time i played was close to a year ago so i dont even remember some of stuff i did haha now since game is finished state and seems to be run well i will jump on. i guess i missed sale on DLC right ? was it 10% off or more

Hurrr, how old is this save?

If it's from around the patch 1.5 or 1.6 era, then you should be fine. But if tis is a really old save, like from around the time of the game's release, or before the 1.3 ptach? Ohh no son, you nuke that thing from orbit! You nuke it real good! And then you start a new save.

I don´t know to be honest. I have also just started playing but I was so amazed that I decided to buy the addon and I had no trouble with my savegame which was maybe 2 or 3 hours old when I bought it. So far everything works great and I didn´t run into any major bugs or glitches.

cool once i finished KCD i will jump on this game i will have to restart i checked last time i played was 8 months ago i dont remember anything about my game haha better to experience it fresh

I ran into the DLC at the beginning of Act 3.

I think the other option is to create a new save that starts you at a higher level and skips to the beginning of the DLC.
