Question about beating the main storyline.
So i beat the main storyline, leveled up and picked up a lot of loot in the final mission but after i beat the game it loaded me into my save right before i started the final mission? I got the gifts for completing the game but it seems the levels i got and loot i earned arent transfering over. I can see that it is a earlier save too because of the amount of time I have in the game. I picked up a lot of tier 5 items and its pissing me off that it seems i looted for nothing. is this just how it is? also the final mission is showing up in my journal as if i havent completed it. help!!!

This is how it is, it puts you back in game at your last state just before passing 'the point of no return', just with the perks granted from the end.

Allows users that may not have mopped up all other things on the map to do so after playing an ending, or let you play through the variations of all endings easily.

so the loot i grabbed during the entire final mission doesnt transfer over then right?

Correct. Loot doesn't matter because you already have everything but the weapons, nope, you don't get to keep them. Basically everything resets to before the meeting with Hanako.

Total BS for sure but at the same time it allows me to go all out on cyber gear, I didn't touch the mantis arms or mono wire due to I didn't want me V to forever have mecha arms. But now thanks the DLC I am willing to use them sort of a post adventure era Super Sonic (Remember how you can only play as Super Sonic for the true final bosses.) so basically I can use the relic perks can go all Super V on the final boss.
But yeah I REALLY wished they gave a new game plus option, I mean if enemy and bosses scale with you, you can experience so many different outcomes.

There's a mod (iirc Respector) that will allow you to create a sort of NG+ playthrough.

An official NG+ mode was ruled out due to requiring some major opening area rebalancing to account for gear players normally wouldn't have access to during act 1 (such as cyber-legs).
