Carrying capacity limit needs to go 2024
If items are there to collect, important or not, let us freely take things without weighing down movement. Not just for this game but many games. It's annoying. I wish games would evolve this old idea and allow a method where players could take what's available. Make it more casual. Most people don't have time to sift thru every half hour or every 15 minutes to be able to walk/run at normal speed until the next fill-up. And the same players don't want to miss important drops either. There is no middle ground- besides valuable and limited perks and cyberware. I hope 2024 sees this inventory capacity trend finally die.

That's lame. Doesn't it disable achievements?

I've been using 2.0 Patch Support - No Carry Weight - Disable Encumbrance mod https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/9247?tab=files works with patch 2.1, and only got 6 achievements sense using mods, I bypass the red launcher and use launch option --launcher-skip for the game, not sure if bypassing the launcher stopped my achievements, but I haven't gotten any in over 2 months sense using --launcher-skip launch option

I don't think anything disables achievements in this game. I could be wrong though. I use console commands and bypass launcher fyi still looks like mine work. /shrug

Ok thanks guys, I will try the console command. Looks like people say it wont affect achievements. Disabling intro loading screens though, will.

So looks like I need a mod to access console, even since the latest update?

Cyber Engine Tweaks https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/107?tab=files mod adds the console window

Save Editor https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/718 mod can add items too

Thanks for that. I ended up using a different site since I refuse to visit Nexus anymore.

My input? A lot of games have a very legitimate case for including capacity limits. That said, Cyberpunk 2077 honestly doesn't utilize it in a meaningful way.

You expect to carry a literal tonne of weapons and gear and not be penalised for it?
Marlfox Jan 4, 2024 @ 1:04am
Yes, because the extra minute wasted of calling a car to stash, or finding the nearest dropbox, or re-organizing your inventory to disassemble an inferior item and make room for a better one, are not good for time management. Yet, you can still do it, just repetitively.

All these game items we collect, clash together when you pick up loot and body items. You don't want to waste time but you also don't want to miss key items that easily can be missed otherwise. Some stuff that's important is highlighted, but not all. Things are easy to overlooked in this game, so it's easier to just "take all". Consequently, the inventory fills up quickly and yet more tasks/missions await. This process is not efficient. Sure mods exist, but Cyberpunk needs more preferences in settings for inventory management and item collecting filters.

Weapons = disassemble/sell
Clothing = disassemble, they are in the wardrobe after picking up
Food = sell
Junk = sell

No weight = useless, because you will carry only a few weapons and the rest is disassemble

Why have a no weight mod? Are you a hoarder for weapons? Or do you forget about them each time?
Bogmore Jan 4, 2024 @ 1:38am
The mod is there for people who don't want to have the weight walking restriction and are too lazy to empty their bags..

I know it's a game but if it was in the real world how could you carry 200 burritos, 150 bottles of spirits, 40 guns and knives, and three suitcases worth of clothes?

You saying disabling intro videos disables achievements?

As somebody who has had these disabled since 2020, and got all the achievements - nope.
Icedfate Jan 4, 2024 @ 3:09am
what they should do is have like. . .an "ingredients bag", where minor loot such as crafting components and ingredients automatically go in there and don't take up space, but big stuff like weapons and armor still takes up space.
it's there to force decision making, "Do i take this think that weighs 10 , but sells for 50 or do i take this other thing that weights 20 but sells for 100? do i keep this cool weapon with an effect i like, but i probably will never use or do i keep this cool armor with an effect i like, but looks ugly as heck?"

also, as for disabling achievments, if the bethesda games have mods to re enable them, i suspect this does too.
