Not being able to punch the age old president lady? (spoiler)
I loathe that my hardass character just fought her way through 30 balisisk soldiers just to have her ass handed to her in a scripted sequence. Is there a way to teach the old cow some manners?

Have a body build? You need 15 body and tier 5 gorilla arms or 20 body to succeed that check.

Thanks yahboi1988!
Well, at least there is a way. I still think It sucks when your character turns into paper as soon as there is a cut-scene but I guess they have to establish Myers as something of a badass.

I mean she was a Militech Soldier and has fought in like every war since the 2020s.

Cutscene are always a mood killer. They only serve to advance the story, no matter how much of badass you are. Any game has that problem.

From Borderlands to Dying Light to Skyrim you will be constantly reminded that no matter your power.....the Story takes Precedence.

Yea, it's a real downer. And I might add, lousy writing.

I don't find it that big of an issue personally. The more "Open"(For lack of a better term) a game is the less they can have "Cinematic" scenes. It's a necessary evil for cinematic story telling. Even BG3 a relatively "open" game has "Specific" events that have to happen to complete it. We are far from games that "let you do whatever you want" in a "Cinematic" way. So maybe someday but until then I guess you just gotta deal with these limitations.

To be honest, I started playing PL tonight and so far it has been just one big railroad paired up with an insufferable NPC making sure that my character knows its place.
The original game didn't have these problems, taking on the boat with Rogue for example. You got to decide how to act and the NPC was there to help you not order you around. Oh well, I'm cranky perhaps it will get better later on.

It get's more open after that first mission, but you can ignore Songbird after you get into Dog Town and fail the entire story and still have Dog Town open to you, so IDK if it's as "Railroady" as you claim if you can just ignore the entire thing and have Myers die.
