RTX3080 15 fps?
i got the expansion to pick the game back up again after a long break havent played the updated 2.0 and new expantion. i used to play on ray tracing low with no problems, now i cant even play on low without the stupid dynamic resolution that makes everything fuzzy. what the hell happened i am incredibly irritated at the moment about this. cant even 30 30 fps the game feels like absolute dog crap

EDIT: for anyone else who has this problem, i solved this by reinstalling my graphics driver, turns out when i updated it i installed the wrong one probably the rtx ti and not normal laptop rtx. this completly solved the issue and the fps jumped from 15 to 150, and now on overdrive mode i get 31.65 fps

And dynamic res should not make anything blurry unless it's at max performance mode. Then ya it's pretty bad. Balanced looks good and quality is great. Use the 546.29 driver for cp2077 not the newest 546.33

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077

found it here, how do i rename it to json.old that is confusing as old is not a file type like json is

can you extrapolate on what you mean for me please?

this doesnt exist on my pc

C:\Users\16137\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077 make sure you don't have hidden files on in windows

Disable Game DVR ok?

You have to show hidden files. And i see you didn't downgrade the gpu drivers like i said. And it's a laptop. ensure it's plugged in and using correct gpu and power plan options. Add the game to power plan high performance. Sounds like it's in balanced mode or whatever it's called. I'd assume you know the gpu and windows power settings. Don't recall off top of my head.

when i origanally started the game back up everything needed to be updated and i updated because the performance was bad so the first itteration of this issue was with the older drivers. i dont know if this counts

yea i dont understand it i even change my settings to low, and i am getting the same results

People here have mention having dlc tanks fps, does he have dlc?

Yes, frame rate drops in Dogtown, it's a bit heavier on both CPU and GPU in areas, drops to 40's but still within VRR range so fine with me.

I did tweak DLSS profiles over the weekend to slightly increase the resolution performance mode upscaled from for just a little more clarity out of it without the hit to performance that shifting to balanced mode incurred (with success, 55% instead of 50% - or 1422x800, for those that may want to try it in DLSSTweaks).

The 3070 isn't as powerful as you think it is. You need DLSS if you want to do raytracing in this game. Just set it to quality.

i know, i cant even do low without ray tracing without breaking 20 fps. before i installed the dlc i would be able to do ray tracing low, 45 fps-60 no problem, with occasional dips to 30
Damnedindenial Jan 1, 2024 @ 6:19pm
i just turned overclocking on to see if that would change it. and there is litterally no change in my fps
Damnedindenial Jan 1, 2024 @ 6:22pm
so i found out how to get it back to 30 fps. i need to go on the lowest settings possible, use ultra performance, then set it to 720p low res, this is rediculas
