It's very playable.
I'll revise my answer. I used the GeForce Experience app to set the "optimized" settings for my PC. They actually recommended a mix of tweaks - some settings were pushed higher, others were set lower or disabled. Now it's more like 50-70fps.
From what I remember, the Ti was meant to be about 20% faster than the standard version. So you might still be able to get 40-60fps with the "optimized" settings (as per GeForce Experience).
There are some other factors in play.
However, Gtx 1080 is one hell of a card. When i was using rtx 3060 laptop version on my p1440 monitor, which is worse in pretty much everything compared to 1080, the game was stable at 50 frames at any time. There were some spikes here and there, but nothing that would ruin the experience.
Needless to say, you would have to tweak settings down considerably to have good experience.
